Pay Evil With Blessing.

1 Peter 3:9(NLT)
Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
The above Scripture, encourage us not to repay evil for evil, but rather be a blessing instead. When people do evil things to you, you need not respond in the same way back to them, but only respond with blessings. Reasoning may tell us to repay evil in return for the wrong done to us, but the Scripture demands that we act differently. We are the ambassadors of Christ, we are peacemakers, and therefore must do everything to prove that. Jesus said in Luke 6:28 “bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”
In the world, people are taught to seek revenge, but the opposite is expected from children of God. The joy and celebration of the righteous is understandably great whenever God puts an end to the evil activities of the wicked. Romans 12:17 says “Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.” God is against His children repaying evil to those who have done them evil. It is not in the place of any genuine child of God to seek revenge. Avenge not yourselves because God forbids revenge in word, as well as in deed. No one can avenge like God. As sons always know that we are loved beyond imagination by God. If God takes over our case, our enemies are in serious trouble. When He decides to be our witness, we can be sure that He will put all of our enemies to shame and put them where they belong. No matter what the enemy does, your prosperity, progress, provision and security is guaranteed in Jesus’ Name. Remember vengeance belongs to the Lord.
Beloved, God is your hope, salvation and peace. Even in times of deep sorrow and despair, don’t yield to the temptation of rendering evil for evil. Live in the reassurance that you are blessed beyond measure and that you have a rich inheritance of many blessings yet to come. Bless, instead of repaying evil for evil, for it is more suitable for you who is expecting to be blessed. Learn to always forgive and love one another. Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you. May you be so filled with the revelation that you have been called to inherit a blessing, that you become an absolute outflow of blessings in Jesus’ Name. I will end with 1 Thessalonians 5:15 “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.” Live generously to please God.
O Lord, grant me grace to live by Your Principles in this world and to follow Your Guidelines in all that I do in Jesus’ Name.
