Deuteronomy 8:18(KJV)
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
From the above Scripture, God has a covenant in place that empowers us into realms of financial fortune. It is not the doctrine of a church but His Covenant. God’s Covenant of financial prosperity is as binding as His Covenant of any other and He always remembers His Covenant(Psalm 111:5). The Scripture also makes it clear that God is the Source of all things, He is the true Source of supernatural supplies. He give us the power to get wealth. It is important to know that it is not possible to have anything or to be anything in life without the Help of God. It takes power to get, magnetize, and acquire wealth. It takes power to overcome the forces of poverty.
Prosperity is the state of all round well-being (physically, mentally and materially) according to 3 John 1:2, Bible says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Not only is God interested in your prosperity, He also gives you the power to make wealth and to prosper. God’s desire for us is to enjoy all round prosperity and exercise dominion over all other creatures. The prosperity of our soul is the topmost priority of God, and once this is settled, all other things are mere additions, which God has promised to release to us liberally. A prosperous life is a healthy and happy life, a life that honors God, a life that goes the extra mile to show love to brethren, a life that takes delight in preaching the gospel and teaching sound doctrines, a life that is heavenly focused, a life that is humble despite possession of earthly riches, a life that fears God and obeys His commandments always.
Beloved, do you desire to prosper? All you need is to get properly acquainted with God and obey His Word. Worship Him with fear and trembling. When you forget your Source, you forgo your success and resources. Don’t ever beat your chest and say that it is your intelligence, energy, talent, connection and contact that brought you to where you are, only look unto God alone as the Source of all things. You must be fully determined to get rid of your self-centered tendencies and love the Lord with all your heart and resources. Obey His commandments in the area of tithe, offering, giving of first fruits (Malachi 3:10) and remember also the needy, the widow and the orphans (Proverbs 19:17).
O Lord, I receive the grace to look unto You only as the Source of my Success in Jesus’ Name.
