Praise And The Glory Of God

WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER; RECEIVE THE ELEVENTH-HOUR BLESSING IN JESUS’ NAME.

2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (KJV)

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;

There is a connection between praise and the Glory of God. Anywhere men of praise are found, the Glory of God is available there. When the temple was finished, Solomon brought in the ark. The congregation, the Levites, and the priests were gathered together, sacrificing and worshiping the Lord. From the above Scripture, it is incredible that despite the orderly procession of the Levites and priests, God’s Glory did not come down until the trumpeters and singers became one to make one sound in intense praise and thanksgiving to God. It is evident that praising God attracts His Glory. That is, the praise of God commands the Glory of God. In other words, if we praise God unconditionally, we see His Glory abundantly, making all things possible. The Glory of God destroys anything of the devil and demolishes anything that represents the walls of Jericho in the life of believers in Christ.

Throughout the Scriptures, countless men and women demonstrated the power of praise, forging a profound connection with the Presence of God. Their examples serve as a testament to the transformative impact of worship. Joshua 6:20 says, “So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” The wall of Jericho came down by militant and aggressive praise and worship. As the people confronted the wall of Jericho with a GREAT SHOUT, it surrendered and gave way to the children of God. Know that Jericho did not only stand in the way of the inheritance of the children of Israel, it also blocked the access to the destiny of Israel. They could not be what God wanted them to be and could not go where they were meant to go. Nothing brings down the power of God more than when His people are united, lifting holy hands in praise unto Him. He delights in the praises of His people, and He reveals Himself to people who forget entirely about themselves and focus on Him in true worship and adoration. As we engage in family devotion or corporate worship, it is crucial that we ensure our hearts are pure and our spirits are united with those around us. We must take the time to examine ourselves sincerely and merge our hearts and voices in unison as we uplift our praise to God. This collective effort will undoubtedly draw down the Glory of God among us. It is written in 2 Chronicles 20:21-22, “And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” When we praise God, He is attracted to us, and to attract Him is to attract all He carries to defeat our enemies.

Beloved, engage the weapon of high praises to secure God’s Presence in your circumstances, and you will experience the fulfillment of every prophetic word concerning you in this season and beyond. Praise God in every situation you find yourself in and avoid a life of complaining, grumbling, and murmuring. Make it a priority to devote quality time to worship God today; the results will be truly remarkable. Make up your mind to confront every spiritual Jericho on your way to the Promised Land with aggressive praise. Today, maintain a lifestyle of praise to God through upright living. When you praise and worship Him, you lose your individuality and become part of something bigger than yourself. Remember, your praise to God will bring down His Glory for the termination of every demonic work against your life.

O Lord, thank You for Your goodness, mercy, and lovingkindness. I give You all the praise today with every breath in me in Jesus’ Name.
