Praise God Continually

Psalm 34:1(KJV)

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

David’s expression of gratitude towards God was not quick nor confined to the walls of a place of worship. His praise was a constant and unwavering act, one that he carried with him at all times. His lips were always ready to praise the Lord, not just until the next distraction, but as a perpetual and unceasing act of devotion. To him, the Lord is worthy of our ongoing worship and devoted praise. He deserves our grateful thanksgiving and whole-hearted trust in every area of our life. When we engage in the act of praising and glorifying our Heavenly Father, we are able to shift our focus from our own limited existence and trivial difficulties. By offering words of worship to God, we are, in turn, bestowing blessings upon Him. That means praise is a spiritual way man blesses God, and as we bless Him in praise, we are provoking His Blessings on our lives, thereby accessing the harvest of His Blessings. In other words, praise is a proven, practical, and perpetual spiritual platform for encounters with fearful blessings. When praise becomes our lifestyle, God’s blessings become our natural experiences; we do not struggle for them. Psalm 67:5-7 says, “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”

Praising God is the most crucial responsibility in the life of the children of God. Praise is to edify, magnify, and exalt an unlimited worship of God. Praise is also one of the most powerful ways to change our lives. Praise is not what we do only after a miracle; it actually makes the miracle happen. Each time we praise the Name of the Lord, great and marvelous things are bound to happen. We enjoy His Mercy instead of receiving His judgment, abundance instead of lack, victory instead of defeat, and deliverance instead of captivity. The moment we commit to the realm of praise, things begin to happen at His Command. When the three nations confronted Jehoshaphat and the inhabitants of Judah, they began to praise God, and God caused the enemies to fight among themselves, and immediately wealth also changed hands (2 Chronicles 20:21-25). The wall of Jericho fell at a loud shout of praise. For believers in Christ Jesus, praise should remedy all woes, pains, loss, and fears. Praise has an unending power; it changes the believers’ knowledge about God and reveals to them God’s true character. When we praise the King of kings and the Lord of lords, He deals with every bondage and chain around our lives. When the children of God praise Him, infirmities, yokes, bondage, barrenness, and all the works of the devil are destroyed. In the realm of praise, every limitation gives way; we can praise our way out of any frustration, stagnation, and unpleasant situations in our lives. Praise God in any situation or circumstance, and He will step into our affairs and open new chapters to our destinies.

Beloved, praise the Lord at all times. It doesn’t matter how you feel at any point; don’t let the devil take the praise of God away from your lips. When the devil comes with his trouble, don’t face him. Instead, face the Living God and give Him the best praise, and as you praise Him, your season of disappointments shall be over. God will disappoint your negative situations, for your response to God in praise will determine the earth’s response to you in supplies. He will cause things that are appointed for you to be performed. God will be your refuge and drive away your conspirators. He shall baptize them with fear and terror. He shall destroy their wealth and influence and establish your expectations for you, in Jesus’ Name. Today, make up your mind to constantly engage in the power of praise. Remember, praise recognizes dependence when it is filled with true meaning and is not just formality.

O Lord, help me to live a lifestyle of praise and let my life bring out the fragrance of genuine praise to Your Throne in Jesus’ Name.
