Psalm 149:6-7(KV)
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
Welcome to another blessed week! The above Scripture confirms amongst other things that praise is a weapon of vengeance and judgment. That is, praise is a tool for the delivery of vengeance and punishment upon the enemies of God and His children. The power of praise makes God to arise from His Exalted Throne to execute vengeance. Praise is the platform for the fearful acts of God. It is written in Exodus 15:11 “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders.” Praises move God to do wonders for His children. Every time the children of God praise, God breaks forth in their lives, releasing our breakthrough accompanied with vengeance. Victory over enemies, deliverance and preservation from all evils await those who truly and wholeheartedly praise God.
While it is true that vengeance belongs to God, it is also our responsibility to invoke His vengeance on our enemies. For it is written in 1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” No matter how spiritual we are, there are certain forces that will not let us go until vengeance is executed. Our breakthroughs and all-round comfort are not guaranteed without vengeance. So, until vengeance answers in the camp of our enemies, we may never see the blessings of God or our victories. Every great victory in battle and triumphant success over the enemy in difficult situations requires the intervention of the Almighty God. This reality makes it mandatory for Christians to sing praises to God wherever we want to experience triumphant victory. Because when we praise, we engage the power of God to invade the camp of the powers of darkness. When the praise of God is in our mouth, the sword of vengeance is in our hands. 1n 2 Chronicles 20:22-23, when the Ammonites, the Moabites and the inhabitants of Mount Seir gathered against the Israelites, the Israelites began to engage warfare praise, God stepped in and all their enemies began to fight each other and were overthrown. When David danced with all his might, he secured vengeance on his mockers (2 Samuel 6:1-16). No wonder the Bible records that he never lost a battle because he knew how to bring God to bear in any situation and circumstance.
Beloved, develop a passion for praising God for your praise disarms and destroys the enemy and gives you victory in battle. Whenever you are confronted by the enemy, never forget to praise God because it is your weapon. Keep praising for your praise defeat the scheme of devil during the storms or trial. When you do not know what to do, praise Him, when you do not know what to say, praise Him. When you do not know how, when or why, praise Him! Praise Him no matter how hopeless your situation seems! Praise Him irrespective of your weakness and limitations and your life will never be the same. As you praise God today, He will arise on your behalf and completely destroyed all your enemies in Jesus’ Name.
O Lord, thank You for the vengeance and judgment for the enemy, today give me the grace to praise You till You show up for me in Jesus’ Name.
