Psalms 18:3 (KJV)
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
In Psalm 18:1-3, king David beautifully expressed who God was to him, declaring that God is worthy of all praise. David recognized that his deliverance from enemies came through his acts of worship. In essence, neglecting to praise God would put him at risk against his foes. Our anchor Scripture reminds us that God deserves our praise, and in return, He saves us from our adversaries, with God on our side, we are undoubtedly more than conquerors. Every remarkable victory and success over challenges calls for the divine intervention of the Almighty. This truth underscores the necessity for Christians to worship and sing praises before and after experiencing victory. Praising God affirms His greatness and acknowledges that He alone is worthy of our trust. Recognizing His worth lifts our hearts above our circumstances and reminds us of His unchanging nature. Psalm 96:4 says, “For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.” When we lift our praises to God, He responds with supernatural acts, for He is revered in worship. Whenever God asks for something from us, it is for our own benefit, not for His. Only those who deceive themselves would think differently.
In a world filled with contemporary challenges and uncertainties, it is vital to return to the foundation of our faith that emphasizes our reliance on God. When we recognize that calling upon Him is our first line of defense against life’s struggles, we gain a deeper understanding of God’s nature. Praising God elevates Him above our circumstances, fears, and foes, placing Him in His rightful position. This act is not only an expression of our gratitude and adoration, but it also strengthens our connection with Him, allowing us to find solace and strength in His Presence. It is a spiritual language that transcends intellect, touching the heart of God. Praising Him creates a beautiful fragrance before the Most High, igniting His Power. Embracing this concept can elevate our relationship with God. With God on our side, our adversaries have no chance but to flee. 2 Chronicles 20:22 says, “And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” When king Jehoshaphat sent forth an army of worshippers into battle, musical instruments in hand and songs of praise on their lips, the Lord moved supernaturally. As they worshipped God, He rose to their defense and caused their enemies to turn on each other. No wonder David never lost a battle; he understood the power of praising His Maker.
Beloved, wholeheartedly worship God, for it is a source of immense blessings and goodness in your life. Rejoice, sing, dance, and bless His Name like never before. Give Him all the praise and glory, adoring Him for His Worthiness. Praise Him for Who He is, what He does, and the splendor of His Glory. Thank Him for the gift of life, His Mercies, and His Goodness. If you are grateful for yesterday, He will do even greater things today and forever. As you lift your praise, it won’t matter how much water your enemies throw at you, for His faithfulness will draw you out. When you praise Him, no matter how defenseless you may feel, the great Defender will fight your battles. Despite the lies and attacks of your enemies, you will emerge victorious as you make the Lord your delight and strength. Praise and celebrate God for His Worthiness and Greatness, and you will witness even more of that greatness. You will have abundant testimonies of God’s works. Today, serve, worship, and praise God, for your life, joy, and peace depend on it. Embrace faith and rely on God, confident in His ability to save and protect you. Trust in the Lord wholeheartedly, knowing that in Him lies unwavering strength, refuge, and deliverance. Remember, when you direct your calls and praises to God, you invite His Presence to your trials, where He reveals His saving power.
O Lord, You are worthy to be praised. Strengthen my trust and teach me to call on You with confidence. Save me from every enemy, seen and unseen, in Jesus’ Name.
