1 Corinthians 14:18(KJV)
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.
Prayer is the lifeblood of a Christian’s walk with God. Prayer connects us to God. In other words, prayer is two-way communication between the believer and our Father in Heaven, the Almighty God. Prayer is not a religious activity but a fellowship with the Lord where we talk to and with Him. Prayer must fasten all the other parts of our Christian armor, and it also gives us a permanent stand with God. The Scripture makes it clear that Paul prayed in tongues more than the whole church of the Corinthians; he was always praying. Jude 1:20 says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” Jude urges us to pray in the Holy Ghost to build our faith. The Holy Spirit is the spring of all desires toward God, often more than words can utter. As we read in the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit also helps our infirmities and weaknesses at the place of prayer since we do not know how to pray as we should (Romans 8:26). And also searches the hearts and can perceive the mind and will of the spirit and intercedes on our behalf. The indwelling of the Holy Ghost empowers us for exploits. Thus, the Holy Ghost is responsible for miracles, signs, and wonders.
Praying in the Spirit is one way to pray effectively as children of God. Praying in the Holy Ghost is the only way Christians can solidify their foundation in God. Demonstrating our daily dependence on God through praying in the Holy Spirit is essential. It is principal to note that praying in the Spirit plays a vital role in our quest to access more of God’s Glory. It is a ladder we can climb to enter God’s Presence. The more we pray in the Spirit, the more of His Presence we will encounter, leading us into His Glory. When we pray in the Holy Ghost, the Bible makes us understand we speak not to men but to God; we utter mysteries by the power of the Spirit. Speaking in tongues confuses the enemy, strengthens the spirit of man, and opens the way for the Holy Ghost to operate. It boosts our prayer life by engaging angels in our requests and communication with God. We enjoy angelic visitations consistently. Praying in the Holy Spirit gives access to the higher realms of revelation and the mystery of God(1 Corinthians 14:2). The solution to problems and challenges in life lies in speaking in tongues. Ephesians 6:18 says, “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Praying in the Spirit gives us strength and courage for our spiritual warfare and suffering. Therefore, pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. It is a mighty weapon for Christians to dislodge any satanic power.
Beloved, pray consistently in the Holy Spirit, your faith will grow in God, and you will experience the supernatural. Make your mind, shift to another level in the spirit by praying in tongues. Praying in the Spirit will not make you ask amiss. So, in your Christian journey, always pray in the Holy Ghost, and you will build yourself into an impenetrable and immovable spiritual edifice. From today, start your day speaking in tongues. Take charge of your day, even before you step out, and form the habit of speaking in tongues for at least one hour. Saturate your mind with the Word of God and pray endlessly in the Spirit, and your life will advance to enjoy the ever-increasing glory of God. As you continue to pray in the Spirit, the Good Shepherd will direct your path and keep you in His Mercy, Strength, and Love. Receive a fresh grace and baptism of praying in the Spirit in Jesus’ Name. If you are not speaking in tongues, receive the anointing to speak now. Holy Ghost fire, fall on me, in the Name of Jesus. Remember, praying in the Holy Spirit builds your faith, gives you a permanent stand with God, and makes you anointed beyond measure.
O Lord, help me intensify my prayer life by praying in the Spirit in Jesus’ Name.
