Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Our anchored Scripture contains the prophecy of Isaiah about the birth of Jesus, who shall lead God’s people into a life of joy, peace, and a right relationship with God. The birth of Jesus Christ stands as one of the most pivotal and enigmatic events in human history. For Christians, the Christmas season commemorates this momentous occasion. This event is characterized by its unique nature, occurring without the traditional biological process of conception, underscoring the omnipotence and transcendence of God. It serves as a profound demonstration of God’s capacity to transcend natural laws and human understanding. Jesus is the Child born and a Son given to us. He is the Light of the world, and His Name is Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. He is powerful and sovereign, capable of doing the impossible and fighting our battles.
The mission of Jesus is to bring peace to us. Jesus brings peace to our hearts and lives, reconciling us with God and each other. He is our peace and no wonder He is called the Prince of Peace. We cannot have Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, and be in pieces or crisis. The life of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth demonstrates that we can experience peace even in the midst of life’s storms. Luke 1:78-79 says, “Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us; to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” The Scripture indicates that Jesus embodies the key to experiencing divine peace, functioning as a guiding force that leads believers toward paths of tranquility. As the ultimate source of peace, He has imparted this profound sense of serenity to humanity. This peace surpasses human comprehension, implying that its nature and depth extend beyond conventional understanding and rational limits. In John 14:27, he said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” It is a great thing to have the peace of God inside.
Beloved, allowing Jesus into your life will bring His wonders, counsel, love, mighty works, peace, and glory into your life. If Jesus is the Lord of your life, He will re-write the history of your life and give you the desired future. Appreciate God for the benefits of redemption and the power of the birth of Jesus. From today, the natural will give way to the spiritual, the physical for the sacred, and the turmoil or raging storm for peace. No matter what life throws your way, stand firm and radiate confidence, for you have the Champion of Peace in your corner. Jesus is unequivocally the Prince of Peace, and true peace can only be found in Him. No matter how hard you search, nothing else will bring you the same sense of tranquility as Christ Jesus. Embrace that truth! So, hand your cares and worries over to God because it is key to a world of peace that only Jesus can give. Anything putting your life under pressure means you have not yet handed that thing over to God. It is not possible to hand over your difficult situation to God and still be worrying about it. Today is an opportunity to embrace the peace, wisdom, and strength that Jesus offers us daily. JESUS IS A SPECIAL GIFT TO YOU – Accept Him, and you shall live and be saved; reject Him, and you shall perish forever. Reflect on His wonderful names and allow His Presence to guide and comfort you. Remember, God is the only source of peace, and He has appointed His Son as the Prince of Peace.
O Lord, let Your Peace flow through my heart as I journey towards Your high calling in Jesus’ Name.
