Psalm 75:6-7(KJV)
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Our anchored Scripture reveals that destinies are fixed by God and not man. That means the best promotion only comes from God alone. It doesn’t come from us or even from others. Promotion comes from the Lord and the Lord only. Asaph, the writer of this Psalm, was telling people to stop acts of wickedness in the hope of getting to the top. He regarded all the dubious dealings to outwit others as foolishness, for promotion comes only from God and not because one is well connected. God has always been the Source of blessings for His children through all generations. Every purpose of God has its own time, and it manifests as ordained by the Almighty. He places us all through a process of maturing, which in turn typically positions us in an area to be promoted. So wait on the Lord for our next opportunity. When we act in faith, God is provided with the necessary channel to bless and reward us, for He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
The promotion from God is worth waiting for, and in most cases, He will use the most unlikely people to open doors of opportunity for us — a laborer, a maid, an intern, or an unpopular pastor. When God’s favor is at work in our life, our promotion is sure. God supernaturally arranged Joseph’s promotion through the cupbearer, an unlikely source. Joseph’s elevation to the throne was an act of God. Let’s pass the test and treat everyone like Jesus put them in our path because He probably did. The truth is going to unimaginable lengths and heights in our efforts to get promoted leads to destruction. The story of Absalom should be a learning lesson for all believers; he deviously stole the hearts of his father’s subjects to become king but ended up as a dead man. It confirms that only those divinely promoted are actually promoted (2 Samuel 15-18). His diabolical climb to the top tragically led to his untimely death. Any promotion gotten through diabolic means won’t last. And neither does it do any good to its beneficiary. Trying to force the timeline of God could end in destruction and eternal damnation.
Beloved, wait on God to promote you, for every good and perfect gift comes from above. When God promotes, you will go from success to success. Therefore, put your trust in God, and your promotion will manifest sooner rather than later, and it will be beyond your wildest imagination. When God starts with you, the whole world will be amazed. Irrespective of how forceful the opposition confronts you, when God is shifting your life to the next level, He will cause you to experience a blessing that will make all your enemies crumble. God’s promotion will shut the mouth of your detractors and all those who have vowed that as long as they are on the seat of power, you will never see the light of day. As God did it for Mordecai, He will do the same for you(Esther 6:11). By tomorrow, their promotion will be at your mercy in Jesus’ Name. You will be able to do things you never thought you could do. God will promote you in a way that will bring glory to His Name. Today, God will reward you with a promotion, and no man, woman, or the devil himself can stop it in the Name of Jesus. Stop looking to men for your promotion. Man can promote you today and demote you the next day. Put all things in the hands of the Lord, who only can promote. The arm of flesh will fail. Stick with the Rock that never fails. Walk confidently in your God-given purpose, and He will exalt you at the perfect time. When God upgrades you, all your sorrows will turn to joy, and you will have absolute peace even during trouble.
O Lord, do what You alone can do, and give me the promotions You want me to have. Help me to shift levels in this season in Jesus’ Name.
