Rely On Divine Help

2 Chronicles 14:11 (KJV)

And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

King Asa strengthened the cities and assembled an impressive army during his reign. However, when Judah faced an attack from their enemies, Asa turned to God for assistance. The odds were stacked against him with a massive army and 300 chariots opposing Judah. Asa faced the daunting task of defending his people against this overwhelming force; with no allies to aid him, he turned to God in prayer, acknowledging that human strength was insufficient and that victory depended entirely on divine intervention. God was his shield and only defense. Asa’s prayer was succinct yet impactful, serving as a genuine expression of faith and hope in God. In his supplication, he humbly acknowledged his reliance solely on God to uphold the peace and prosperity of Judah. Asa’s reliance on God was rewarded, as Judah emerged victorious despite being vastly outnumbered. Asa’s triumph was rooted in his understanding of surrendering control to God at his most vulnerable. He recognized that true strength comes from the Almighty, who is always vigilant. This unwavering faith led him to glory, demonstrating that complete reliance on God can yield extraordinary results.

In life, to make it through troubles, we need the help of God because, with the Lord, we will do valiantly. The Help of God will make us stand well-defended even when surrounded by our enemies. We serve a God who can help or hinder, assist or resist. He can raise or ruin depending on what people deserve. Only God can provide genuine help and achieve lasting victory in the daily struggle for our souls. The Help of God is superior, durable, dependable, and more reliable than the help of man or the hurt of the devil. Without God’s Help, man is hopeless and helpless, for God is our present help. Psalm 121:1-2 says, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Seeking help from above means turning to the God of Heaven, the ultimate source of support. His help is assured; it remains steadfast and unchanging and is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” The Lord is our Refuge and Strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Therefore, we will stand strong and not be intimidated. Our God is not reliant on numbers to secure victory; He doesn’t depend on our connections to elevate us, nor does He need our finances or social status to transform our circumstances.

Beloved, to access God’s help, rely entirely on Him, not your abilities. As you trust God, He will help you just at the break of dawn and raise a voice to defend and silence all opposing voices for your sake. Put God between yourself and the foe, for God is Jehovah of Hosts, who can call unexpected reinforcements at any point to the help of His children. Believe that He is there between you and your tribulation, and what baffles you will flee before Him as clouds before the storm. Never allow yourself to be intimidated by the enemy, for God is with you to strengthen and uphold you with His mighty Hand. All your enemies shall scatter unto desolation, and those who wage war against you will be as nothing. With the help of God, you will conquer, knowing that all things work together for your good. Today, believe God for victory in every battle and watch Heaven disgrace that big mountain in your life. Place your complete trust in the God of Israel and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and He will undoubtedly help you and never let you down. Look up to God today, hold unto Him, and He will make a way for you. The Lord will terminate your shame and turn it into honor. Today, receive the same help Asa received to defeat every enemy in your life in Jesus’ Name. Remember, God can accomplish His Purpose, whether with many or those with no power.

O LORD, help me to walk in faith, knowing that victory is not determined by numbers or human ability but by Your Divine Presence in Jesus’ Name.
