Sacrifice Activates the Intervention of God

1 Samuel 7:10(GNT)

While Samuel was offering the sacrifice, the Philistines moved forward to attack; but just then the Lord thundered from heaven against them. They became completely confused and fled in panic.

It has been established from Scriptures that sacrifice has preservative power. Samuel lived a sacrificial life in all his days and God used him to save the nation of Israel by the power of sacrifice.  When the Israelites were confronted with a life-threatening situation with the Philistines moving forward to attack, Samuel offered a sacrifice to God. And as he offered the sacrifice, the Lord heard him and sent a great thunder that disorganized their enemy. Eventually, these enemies were subdued and driven away. So, God gave the Israelites victory over their enemies by the order of Samuel’s sacrifice to Him.

The weapon of sacrifice is more potent than any physical weapon of war. Sacrifice activates the intervention of God in times of trouble. Our sacrifice does not just deliver us; it also has the capacity to liberate our loved ones. Our willingness to sacrifice is an indication of our devotion to God. That is, a sacrificial person is one that is ready to give his/her life, time, resources and energy for the purpose of the Kingdom of God. They lay their time, talent, resources and energy on the altar. By their sacrifices, they experience substantial Divine covering and tangible Divine defense. As believers every opportunity to sacrifice is an opportunity to be victorious. Anytime and anywhere true worshippers offer acceptable sacrifice, the holy God responds accordingly. So, whenever we receive a prompting of the Holy Spirit to rear an altar of sacrifice, we should dive into it in faith, because therein lies our settlement and deliverance.

Beloved, sacrifice carries deliverance power to avert calamity. When you are sacrificial, you are surrounded by fire. That is, you are fire in motion, you go where others are not permitted to go. Today, maintain an unwavering commitment to God by living a life of sacrifice. Be so committed until God bears you witness and can even boast about you. Do not move about looking for human approval because most times, human approval does not equal Divine verdict. Live a life of sacrifice and do not play church, mean business with God. Because God can never do serious things with unserious people. Be serious with God in your covenant walk with Him. You and your loved ones are preserved from every impending tragedy, calamity or disaster in this month and beyond, in Jesus’ Name. As you draw near to Him in true repentance, faith and total surrender, He will accept you and your sacrifice. Remember, the level of your sacrifice shows how much of God’s grace and goodness you appreciate in your life.

O Lord, I ask that You help me to live a life of sacrifice, I lay my all at Your Feet in Jesus’ Name.
