Proverbs 11:30(KJV)
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
From scriptures, we discover that soul winning is the most profitable of Kingdom stewardship endeavors because it covers all things we will ever need. It empowers believers for dominion and unspeakable joy(Luke 10:19). The wisdom part is soul winning opens the door for many blessings. The call to win souls for the Kingdom is for all born again Christians, and not limited only to preachers. Every one that is genuinely saved has been called to serve. To serve in the kingdom of Christ begins with fishing for the souls of men. It pleases God when a sinner turns back from their sin and give their life completely to God. John 15:16 says “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” It clearly states that if you are fruitful, whatever you ask the Father in the Name of Jesus will be granted.
There’s no better way to express your love for Jesus Christ than to win souls for Him. Because soul winning is one of the shortest route to receiving answers to your prayers. When you make yourself and resources available for soul winning, God make available for you blessings you did not ask. However, many do not realize the blessings that accompany the great assignment of soul winning. It is interesting to note that after Peter surrendered his boat for God’s use, Jesus Christ did not wait for Peter to ask for a miracle, He just went ahead and granted Peter what he did not ask or bargained for: a great catch of fish that filled two boats(Luke 5:1-7). If He could do it for Peter, He will also do it for you when you table your requests after you have yielded yourself to soul winning. Everyone that is genuinely saved has been called to serve by winning souls for the Kingdom. Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting(Luke 18:28-30). This confirms that, every investment made towards Kingdom advancement in terms of time, energy and resources entitles us to a hundred-fold more in this present time and in the world to come life everlasting.
Beloved, to serve in the Kingdom of Christ begins with fishing for the souls of men. You must be willing and obedient. The greatest thing you can give to anyone is not money but salvation, because this is what guarantees other things. No matter where you are, no matter who you are, no matter what you do, make soulwinning your lifestyle. Today, be wise and save a soul! However, to enjoy these benefits of soul winning, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”
Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to make myself and my resources available for soul winning in Jesus’ Name.
