Psalm 9:10(ESV)
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
It is clear from our anchored Scripture that the Lord will not forsake those who seek Him. In other words, putting our trust in the Lord makes it impossible for God to abandon us. The key to finding God is to know His Name and put all trust in Him. Thus, we value God and our relationship with Him more than anything else. Knowing God is more than merely acknowledging His existence, but it’s very personal knowledge and pursuit of an intimate relationship through prayer and time in God’s Word. Knowing God is learning His character, understanding who He is, and the depth of His love toward us. When we trust Him, we acknowledge that He is in control of our lives. Therefore, knowing that God is in control helps us lay down our desires and allow His plan and purpose to be fulfilled in us. The beautiful thing about seeking God is that the seekers are always the winners. They never come up empty-handed or unable to find what they are looking for but always find Him. Seeking the face of the Lord is enjoying the sweet aroma of His Presence that is always with us. Desperately longing for His Face and Presence strengthens our faith. Seeking the Lord is living intentionally with our dependence on Him by being open to His Guidance, Wisdom, and Strength.
Throughout the Bible, God promises that those who seek Him will find Him. In Isaiah 55:6, the Scripture says, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.” The book of Deuteronomy 4:29 admonishes us to seek the LORD our God, and we will find Him if we seek Him with all our hearts and souls. We are to seek the Lord with our whole heart and soul, worshipping Him always for who He is, and we will also find Him. Admitting the need for the Lord is not a sign of weakness. It is yielding our lives to the magnificent purpose of the Creator, who loves us and longs to draw us near. For the Lord does not forsake those who seek Him. Sadly, many refuse to be the seeker. Fooled by self-sufficiency, they’ve convinced themselves they do not need to look for God. Instead, they carry on with a sense of independence, self-confidence, and pride that leads to destruction. However, seeking the Lord with our whole hearts is the secret to keeping the commandments of God so that we will not sin against God. We are to serve Him faithfully, for He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Psalm 119:2 says, “Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart.” We are blessed when we consistently seek Him and long for Him with our hearts.
Beloved, seek after God wholeheartedly and with the simplicity of heart! Men search for gold, silver, and other hidden treasure with diligence and likewise search for God with perseverance and eagerness to find Him. For those who seek Him with all their heart find Him. Draw nigh with a true heart and call upon Him in truth and He will grant you His Presence, favor you with fresh supplies of His Grace, and everything needful for your life. Seek Him through His Word, worship, and praise in your daily life, and you will find Him. Choose to grow in the knowledge of Him and into the miracles and blessings you want so much. Today, as you seek God with all your heart, He will be your refuge in times of trouble. Put your trust in Him, and your life will never remain the same. Guard your heart diligently with the Word of God, meditate on them, and listen to recordings of sound teachings of the Gospel. Remember, seek Him in true surrender and adoration, and you will know Him deeply as He restores your fortunes.
O Lord, help me trust in You and consistently seek You with my whole heart in Jesus’ Name.
