Seek God And Prosper

2 Chronicles 31:20-21(ESV)

Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered.

It has been established that no one knows how to make a person prosper like God. Everyone who walked with God genuinely in the Scriptures prospered abundantly. King Hezekiah of Judah faithfully served the Lord with his whole heart. He reestablished proper worship of God where his devotion to the Lord also extended into every area of his life. That is, as the king of Judah, Hezekiah took a very public stand for God, and in doing so set a strong example and a high standard for the people to follow. His purpose was ‘to first seek God and His Kingdom with all his heart. Notice that in every work the king did, he did it with all his heart in obedience to God and he prospered. This is one truth every believer on earth should follow as a model for their life. Seeking God and prospering is a promise of God that will be true for any person who applies it. Exodus 23:25-27 says “You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I[a] will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives. I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run.” True prosperity is built on a relationship with God.

The quality of our relationship with God determines the quantity of our results and resources on earth. Our passion for God determines our portion with God. Mathew 6:33 says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When our lives are dependent on God, His Hand will always move mightily to bless us. It is written in 2 Chronicles 26:5 “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.” As long as we walk with God faithfully, He will prosper us, supply all our needs, fight our battles, protect us from every evil work, give us joy and peace, and also be a Healer to us. God promises to provide for us, protect us, guide us, fill us with joy, and give us so many other good gifts. Most of all, He promises salvation through faith in Jesus. David said to Solomon in 1 Chronicles 22:13 “Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.” David learnt that it takes total dedication to please God and prosper. May God move us from grass to grace and may we see a major turnaround in our lives as we seek Him faithfully in Jesus Name.

Beloved, being interested in the things of God attracts the Blessing of God for generational impact. He is more committed to meeting our needs than you can ever imagine. You are of great importance to the Almighty God so focus on Him to meet all the needs of your life. If you serve God faithfully with your whole heart, what to eat, what to wear, the car to drive, the house to live in, will not even be a prayer point because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Today, obey God with every fiber of your being. Remove the distractions that pull you away from God, and serve Him wholeheartedly. Devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God alone and He will cause your heart desires to come to pass. Meditate on the Word of God daily to increase your spiritual fire. Put God first to connect His strength, wisdom, and Divine resources. Avoid the temptation of doing other things first before speaking to God.

O Lord, empower me to seek You faithfully to encounter Your prosperity in Jesus’ Name.
