Psalm 27:8(KJV)
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
David wholeheartedly responded to the Lord’s invitation by seeking Him. And as he continued to seek God, he ultimately found Him. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Spending time with God in the Secret Place is crucial for our relationship with Him and our overall joy, peace, and strength. Seeking God is to have an intimate personal relationship with Him. It is to focus our affection on Him with absolute determination. Being diligent in our commitment to seeking the LORD gives us the strength to overcome adversity. Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.” The key to finding God is to put all our hearts and souls into finding Him; it is when we value God and our relationship with Him more than anything else or make the Lord our priority by serving Him in truth with all our hearts.
Seeking God is the shortest and surest route to receiving His Mercy, Forgiveness, Power, Authority, Anointing, and Grace. It is the key to supernatural and glorious life. We also understand that a covenant to serve God with all our hearts, souls, and bodies is the gateway to a world of all-around fulfillment, for God is good, loving, and kind. He wants an intimate relationship with us. Those who desire to live in His Presence will enjoy that relationship forever. By refocusing, we find comfort in Him, knowing He is loving, forgiving, sovereign, and graceful. He is our confidence to boldly turn to despite the hurdles, hardships, and hindrances. When we turn our eyes to seek the beautiful Face of God, we can find strength and comfort that sustain us even during unanswered questions. In Matthew 13:45-46 Jesus said, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” Certain things are worth going to great lengths to find. When we seek something, we usually leave every other thing we are doing to seek until we find that which we seek. Likewise, we must always seek God with determination, not to methods, formulas, or ways that have worked in the past. Our focus, our source of strength and supply, must be God and God alone. As we stay determined and persistent, we will reach the point where we will understand more of God’s Word as we enjoy our relationship with Him, hearing His Voice more and more.
