Seeking God’s Interests Provoke His Favor

Daniel 1:9 (KJV)

Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Daniel and his friends were captives in Babylon, a pagan country that did not obey God but worshipped idols. Despite the instructions from the king on the food to be served, Daniel did not compromise his faith. The food and drink that was served to Daniel to eat and drink contradicted God’s commands. Humbly, Daniel and his friends requested permission to abstain from the king’s food choices without rebelling against his kindness. Disobedience to the king’s instructions could have cost their lives, yet their deep love for God made them not to disobey God no matter how challenging their circumstances. It would have been easier for them to enjoy the privileges of the king’s palace and succeed there, but they chose to live an uncompromising life. They preferred to stand with God rather than please men. Daniel knew God, and His Word, so when faced with an uncomfortable, potentially costly decision, he didn’t have to wrestle with what to do. And the Bible says God brought him into favor with the prince of the eunuchs. God was the author of the act of kindness shown to Daniel. God’s favor enabled them to overcome the temptations ahead of them. It was an unusual act of God’s love for His people. Psalm 106:46 says, “He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.”

Favor can is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. Favor is one of the mysterious virtues of the Kingdom, and it is available to the obedient and dedicated. Divine favor will distinguish us among many and cause us to stand out in life. It makes us acceptable and attractive to those who know us and do not know us. Favor suspends protocols; we do not have to pass through what others passed through to get what we want. From the Scriptures, we understand standing with God is critical to a world of supernatural favor. When we seek God’s interest, the time to enjoy favor us has come because nothing flies like favor in life. Our commitment to Kingdom advancement endeavors brings us into favor with God and with men. In other words, if we are genuinely committed to the advancement, enlargement, and expansion of His Kingdom, we will never run out of favor. Psalms 84:11 says, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” The Word of God promises that no good thing will He withhold, including His Favor from those who walk blamelessly before Him. Know that God is more than willing to bless His true children with favor and honor; however, we must seek His interests.

Beloved, be wise and seek God faithfully to bless and surround you with favor. Maintain personal fellowship and intimacy with God to enjoy His Favor and become what He created you to be on earth. Live a life that is pleasing to the One who has the heart of those meant to favor you. When favored by God, He will positively influence people who are unfavorably disposed to you, and they will treat you with kindness and honor. Today, ask God to shower you with favor at the place of prayer and fasting. It is your appointed time to be remembered for your favor! Favor shall single you out for special attention. There will be no more delay! With the shield of favor, you shall go places in Jesus’ Name! Step out in faith and enjoy the privileges God has prepared for you! Remember, favor can break through any barrier set before you.

O Lord, I connect to Your favor that will give me unlimited and unrestricted access to my destiny and distinguish me from my peers in Jesus’ Name.
