Short Of The Glory Of God

Romans 3:23(KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sin is an overwhelming reality throughout the entire world. There is no discrimination in this world about committing sin, irrespective of where we live, our ethnicity, or our gender. Sin has forced many into subjection, thereby making them helpless and defeated. From the anchored Scripture, we understand that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. When satan deceived Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, they lost their radiant reflection of God’s glory. We cannot enjoy the glory of God except the sin problem is dealt with because glory and sin cannot coexist. In other words, we cannot have glory in a climate of iniquity and vice versa. When we sin, we fall short of God’s Glory, and His Glory is the full manifestation of His Presence and Goodness. Therefore, sinners cannot enter His Presence or enjoy His Goodness with our sins intact without repentance. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” The Scripture admonishes us to lay aside every weight. Sin is a weight and has the capacity to pull people down.

God is all-powerful; He has given believers a powerful weapon; confess, for He will forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As God’s genuine sons or daughters, washed in the Blood of Jesus, we need to cash in on this special privilege. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” We receive forgiveness according to the riches of God’s grace. God’s grace justifies us through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross. It is a gift! When we invite Christ into our lives and accept God’s offer of forgiveness and new life, we are on the path to becoming what He created us to be. It doesn’t happen overnight, but we no longer remain broken and dysfunctional. So, as children of God put to death, all things worldly as we walk with our Father to reflect His Holiness and true righteousness that the gift of grace has bestowed on us.

Beloved, avoid the lifestyle of sin because sin makes you fall short of the glory of God. Be determined not to be among the corrupt people of this world. Refuse to be pulled down in life by sin. Separate yourself for God’s use. Understand today that God wants to pour His favor and honor on you. He does not delight in sending you to hell. Confession of sin is the only way you can enjoy God’s glory. Let Him make you new so you can receive the good things He has in store for you! When you surrender your life to God and believe that Jesus paid the ultimate price with His Blood on the cross to purchase your redemption for eternity, you are truly living in the grace of God. Refuse to sleep with guilt because you do not know what will happen overnight, confess your sins promptly, and receive forgiveness from God. Child of God, the whole world must recognize that you have given your life to Christ when they see the undeniable proof of the fruits of repentance in you. If you are living in sin, simply say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again! Remember, when you identify the weakness in your life that satan wants to capitalize on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God and ask God to forgive you.

O Lord, search my heart today and show me any sin that would keep me from Your Presence. I ask that You forgive me in Jesus’ Name.
