Take a Stand For God

Daniel 6:5(KJV)
Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
From Scriptures, we discover that the choice of godliness is the wisest choice any man can ever make. Daniel understood that the wrath of God against sin and disobedience was far worse than human wrath. He deny himself by refusing to satisfy personal interest or desires that were in conflict with God’s Ways. He prioritize God’s Will above all other interests in his life. God’s laws was his yardstick for measuring what is right or wrong. He therefore made a heart-rooted choice against defilement and he prevailed, God defended him even when the enemy plotted against him. Daniel, through his dedication to God made a difference on the earth.
Taking a stand for God is one of the best things that can happen to anybody on the face of the earth. The question is: if it becomes a crime to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, will you be found guilty? The devil realize Daniel could not be found guilty except only in the things concerning God. Daniel was known to be very passionate about the things of God. Can the devil testify that about you today ? It is unfortunate that many Christians are steadily losing their virtue as salt and the light in this world of darkness. Some Christians are no longer setting the standard for godly and virtuous living. They are allowing this corrupt world to overwhelm them, failing to realize that the state of corruption they are witnessing today was predicted in the Bible so long ago to prepare us to meet its challenges (2 Timothy 3:1-5). The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” God commands us to come out from among evildoers, particularly false brethren in order for Him to receive us. This is part of the price of being a standard, you must stand out and not conform to this world (Romans 12:2).
Beloved, you should diligently ask God to put a firm determination within your heart to remain true to Him and His Word, regardless of the consequences. Watch out for the evil deeds of this world and separate yourself from doing them. Let the ungodly testify that you are superglued to the things of God. You will soon be noticed as different, and you will become a standard to the glory of God. Let’s recognize that godliness, which is vital to the outcome of our lives, has been paid for but until the choice is made, it remains a daydream. May the Lord give you the grace to stand for Him in every area of your life in Jesus Name. Remember, godliness is not a gift, but a choice and each one’s choice determine the outcome of his/her life. It may be costly, but the end result is priceless.
O LORD, help me to serve You and to do Your Will in Jesus’ Name.
