Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
Our anchor Scripture powerfully asserts that true help and deliverance come solely from God, who reigns sovereign over all creation. He is the God who neither sleeps nor slumbers, truly our refuge and strength, always present and ready to assist us in times of trouble. The help of God is unmatched, enduring, reliable, and far superior to any assistance from man or the schemes of the enemy. Without God’s support, humanity faces insurmountable hopelessness and helplessness. Thankfully, God is our ever-present help in times of need, for without His intervention, we would be overwhelmed by adversaries. While people may promise help today, their commitments can shift tomorrow. In contrast, when God offers His help, we can rest easy, knowing that His help is guaranteed. As David declared in Psalm 28:7, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” When David experienced God’s strength and protection, he fully trusted Him to come through in times of need. Our hearts genuinely rejoice when God acts as our Helper, for with Him by our side, defeat is simply not an option.
Our help comes solely from the Lord, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. With the presence and help of the living God, we can stand strong even in the face of adversity. Joseph, through God’s guidance, triumphed over wickedness, trusting in Him and striving to know and fulfill His Will. He remains a powerful example of God’s sustaining and empowering presence in the heart of a believer. Caleb declared in Joshua 14:12, “the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as He said.” With the Lord by our side, we are called to conquer! David confronted numerous battles without ever knowing defeat with God’s help. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were tested in the fire, God restored them in glory, bringing shame to their accusers, for His help was undeniable. Trust in God, for His thoughts towards us are filled with peace and hope for our future. In 2 Chronicles 14:11, “And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude.” As we place our trust in Him, God will shield us from all evil. Through God, we shall do valiantly, for He will tread down our enemies.
Beloved, while earthly help can be fleeting, God’s Help is both peaceful and enduring. God is eager to assist you because He loves you and does not want you to face your trials alone. Fear not, for God is by your side. If you find yourself navigating challenging times and seeking support from family or friends, remind yourself that human assistance can be unreliable, merely an arm of flesh. Cursed is any man who places his trust in man. Depend solely on God for your help, for He will never forsake you and will care for you diligently. Today, God is ready to help you and deliver you from all your troubles. He will raise a voice on your behalf to defend you and silence any opposing forces. You will surely emerge victorious, for the LORD of hosts is fighting your battles. Make God your Helper by accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life and surrendering everything to Him. With Him as your Helper, you can confidently declare you will never fear the devil or his devices. Trust in the Name of our Lord today, and you will rise and stand firm. If you are burdened with worry, weariness, or a difficult decision, trade self-reliance for God-reliance, for trust in God as your source of help is not mere wishful thinking. Remember, God steps into your situation to help you precisely when you feel lost and uncertain about your next steps. Embrace His help and watch your life transform!
O LORD, give me the grace to look unto You daily for help. Give me courage for the next step in Jesus’ Name.
