The Eye Of The Lord

Psalm 33:18 (KJV)

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

As mentioned above, the Scripture conveys the significant benefit of fearing God, which is the divine blessing bestowed upon those who revere Him. God is omnipresent and provides constant protection and guidance to those devoted to Him. Those who believe in Him keep themselves in His Presence where He can watch over them. He takes pleasure in those who revere Him and place their trust in His unchanging love. The Scripture underscores two crucial elements of our relationship with God: fear and hope. Fearing God involves deeply respecting and revering Him, acknowledging His power and authority. This fear is not about being scared but about recognizing His greatness and living in awe of Him. Psalm 147:11 says, “The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, In those that hope in his mercy.” When we hold God in reverence, we also place our hope in His enduring mercy. This unwavering mercy is reliable and eternal, signifying that we can trust that God is watching over us and caring for us regardless of our circumstances. His love gives us a steadfast foundation and a wellspring of comfort and strength.

The Bible unequivocally affirms the Lord’s unwavering protection and care for those who revere Him. While God’s watchful eye oversees the entire creation, He distinctly focuses on those who fear Him, rescuing them from danger and meeting their every need, even in times of scarcity. Essentially, God shields His devoted children from all harm and fulfills all their necessities. Job 36:7 says, “He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.” God’s unwavering attention and care are for the righteous. The Lord maintains constant vigilance over His children, ensuring their sustenance and shielding them from danger. His unwavering gaze spans from the inception of time to its culmination and even transcends from one eternity to the next. God derives satisfaction from His creations, demonstrating profound concern for the intricacies of His children’s lives and actively striving to ensure their safety. He is a loving, ever-present Shepherd who tells us He will guide us along the best pathway for our lives, advise us, and watch over us. No matter what challenges come our way, we can be assured that God’s mercy will always sustain us.

Beloved, you can place your complete trust in God because He deeply cares for you. Under the vigilant gaze of His Presence, you are enveloped by His feathers, shielded by His wings, upheld by His promises, watched over by His angels, and eternally saved by His grace. He sees and knows everything, and His attention is entirely focused on you. When you reverence Him, He will stand by you as your protective shade. Neither the sun during the day nor the moon at night will bring you harm. The Lord will protect you from all dangers and watch over your life as you come and go. In your daily life, you may face obstacles and uncertainties. Nevertheless, God’s watchful eye is constantly upon you, offering guidance and protection. His boundless love and mercy are always there, providing support and strength in every situation. You can navigate life’s challenges confidently and tranquility by revering Him and placing your hope in His unwavering love. Today, strengthen your trust in God’s enduring love and approach each day with the certainty that He is always looking out for you. Remember, God’s watchful eye is on those who fear him, so trust Him and His boundless insight.

O Lord, put Your fear in me and cause me to be found faithful in Your sight in Jesus’ Name.
