The Glory Due Unto His Name

Psalms 29:2 (KJV)

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Our anchored Scripture is a beautiful call to worship and honor God for His greatness and holiness. In our everyday lives, we often get caught up in the mundane and the ordinary. However, the Scripture invites us to pause and reflect on the majesty of God. It calls us to recognize His glory and to worship Him with a heart full of reverence and awe. Giving the Lord the glory due to His Name is a demand to all believers to recognize and honor God for who He truly is, drawing us back to the core of our worship. It’s an act of worship that goes beyond words, involving our hearts, minds, and actions as we fully recognize and proclaim God’s greatness with reverence and awe for who He is and what He has done. When we give Him glory, we acknowledge His greatness and express our gratitude for His unfailing love and grace in our lives. Psalms 96:8 says, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.” God’s Name is above all names, and His deeds are beyond compare. When we acknowledge God’s greatness and honor Him with the glory He rightly deserves, we are powerfully reminded of His sovereignty and our essential dependence on Him.

Worship is an essential and powerful pursuit that demands our full engagement in praising, submitting to, and trusting the Lord for all He has accomplished in our lives. It is a sweet intimacy between God and His redeemed ones, and its essence is communion. Worship stands as undeniable proof of our submission and a clear testament to our genuine dedication to God. Living a life of worship signifies true commitment, yielding remarkable results. Our worship attracts God’s Presence into our lives and enables His divine guidance to steer us on our journey. Worshiping God in the splendor of His holiness means acknowledging His purity, perfection, and unmatched greatness. It is setting aside our distractions and focusing entirely on Him, offering Him the honor and praise He deserves. Psalm 95:6-7 says, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice.” The Christian life is characterized by authentic and heartfelt worship, a worship that is saturated with the presence and nearness of God, responding powerfully to a genuine encounter with His heart.

Beloved, God is God, and He is worthy of all the glory, honor, and praise due to His Name, and you are to give Him what belongs to Him. Ensure that you consistently worship God in the beauty of holiness, not only because of what He has done for you but also because of who He is to you. Worship the Lord passionately in truth and spirit, for the Father seeks true worshippers. Recognize that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Thank Him for His blessings, both big and small. Align your actions with His will, showing your love and reverence through your daily life. Today, meditate on the attributes of God—His power, love, justice, and mercy. Strive to bring your best self to God, offering your heart and life as a testament to His greatness. Seek to surround yourself with praise and worship, either singing or listening to the anointed radio, Peaceloving Radio, or CDs of songs by anointed worshippers. Refuse to be moved by what you see, but be moved by what He says, and commit to a lifestyle of worship in spirit and truth. As you go about your day, take moments to reflect on God’s greatness and offer Him the glory He deserves. Whether through prayer, singing praises, or simply acknowledging His presence in your heart, let your life be a testament to His glory. As you do, offer your worship to Him, not just in words, but in the way you live your life. Remember, deepen your worship, and walk in the splendor of God’s holiness.

O Lord, help me to draw closer to You as I worship You with a heart full of awe and gratitude in Jesus’ Name.
