Isaiah 58:8 (KJV)
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
We understand from the Scriptures that signs and wonders don’t just occur. Instead, they are provoked by engaging the mystery of prayer and fasting, among others, for speedy delivery. This means prayer and fasting are vital tools in the hands of believers for the delivery of signs and wonders. It is important to understand that though we pray to be empowered, we need fasting to walk in power, and the result of empowerment is an eruption of light (revelation) and the glory of the Lord. Then shall thy light break forth as the morning; light here refers to insight and revelation of the Word and the Spirit of God. Light is needed for the termination and exposure of mysteries. As believers, we need the light of God’s Word to put the darkness of this world on their knees. John 1:5 says, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” It takes light to expose the darkness. When we live by God’s principles, showing compassion, justice, and mercy to those around us, we allow His light to shine through us. This light isn’t just a beacon for others; it also brings healing to our own lives. As we walk in righteousness, we find that God’s presence goes before us, guiding our steps, and He also watches over us, providing divine protection.
We serve a glorious God who created man in His image to live a glorious life. God created man and crowned him with glory. As we grow in our relationship with God, we are transformed more and more into His image, reflecting His Glory. Living in alignment with God’s will brings abundant light into our lives. Our righteousness guides our path, and we are surrounded and protected by God’s Glory. As long as we live for God, His Glory shall be our reward. The Glory of God is often described as His manifest presence and infinite beauty, majesty, and worth. Throughout the Bible, God’s Glory is depicted as a bright, all-encompassing light, signifying His purity and holiness. The manifestation of the Glory of God is the elimination of darkness and every demonic activity. The Glory of God is the channel of honor and distinction and guarantees favor. Where the Glory of God is, there is no shame, disgrace, or reproach, our light shines, and we live in favor. Many have not experienced the Glory of God because of disobedience to the Word of God, doubt, and pride. We become inactive every time we are doubtful or prideful, making it very impossible for us to live a glorious life; we then miss out on the exciting, adventurous life God has for us. We must understand that the devil is always out to rob us of our blessings. However, when we serve God’s interest and that of His Kingdom, we come under a divine blessing that the enemy cannot access.
Beloved, God reveals His Light and Glory to those passionate about His work. Today, develop an undying passion for God to experience His light and glory and ask Him to reveal His Light and Glory to you at the place of prayer and fasting. When you encounter light, darkness runs away from you. When you carry light, what is hidden in darkness is exposed. It is not enough to only receive the light, but you need to allow it to penetrate, saturate, seep, and animate your spirit. The light transforms your life completely, shifting you from a place where witches can pursue you to one where you can confront them with the power of fire. It elevates you from being victimized in your dreams to boldly chasing them away with a spiritual machine gun. Recognize and celebrate God’s Glory in your life. Whether it’s through a breathtaking sunset, an act of kindness, or a moment of prayer, His Presence is all around you. Let this awareness fill you with awe and inspire you to live a life that honors and reflects His glory.
O LORD, let Your Light and Glory swallow every contrary thing in my life and destiny in Jesus’ Name.
