The Importance Of Divine Order

John 6:10 (KJV)
And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

Jesus stood before a vast multitude, teaching those eager to hear His profound message. Their hunger—both spiritual and physical—was evident. Confronted with the daunting task of feeding such a large crowd with merely five barley loaves and two small fish, Jesus took decisive action by instructing the people to “make the men sit down.” This command was not just about organizing the crowd; it embodies a powerful divine principle that we can confidently apply in our own lives today. Before the miracle unfolded, Jesus confidently instructed the crowd to sit down, creating an atmosphere ripe for expectation and readiness. He understood a fundamental truth about human nature: chaos breeds confusion and discontent. By having the people sit down, He established an environment of order, essential for the miracle that was about to take place. This was not merely about getting everyone off their feet; it was about fostering a mindset prepared to receive the abundant blessing coming their way. The people were not left scrambling for food; instead, they were seated in an organized manner, demonstrating that God’s blessings often come with structure and purpose, for God is not chaotic—He brings structure to His blessings. When we deliberately cultivate that physical and spiritual order, we position ourselves to fully embrace God’s miraculous provision.
In our lives, we often face chaos, whether it’s due to our packed schedules, heavy responsibilities, or emotional challenges. Before God works in our lives, He calls us to pause, trust, and prepare our hearts to embrace His provision. If life feels overwhelming, take a step back and have confidence that God has a plan, even amid uncertainty. 1 Corinthians 14:40 says, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” In our devotion to God, it is essential that our actions are conducted in a dignified and orderly manner in order to honor God and set a positive example for non-Christians, encouraging them to embrace the faith. Our worship should reflect this by adhering to good order, as God is a God of order. It is crucial that we worship God not only according to our own desires, convenience, tradition, or the latest trends but as the Bible instructs us to do so. Jesus taught us to worship in Spirit and truth. Our worship should be vibrant and full of life, as life is not contrary to order; rather, it ceases to thrive when it lacks binding order. A Spirit-filled worship service will be conducted in an orderly manner and centered around God’s Word. When we fully embrace the Word of God, we open ourselves to the boundless possibilities that the Spirit of God wants to unfold in us and through us.
Beloved, let everything be done in an orderly manner. Living in divine order isn’t just about big spiritual moments; it’s about weaving intentional practices into daily life. Order brings clarity whether at work, in family life, or in ministry, for Jesus didn’t distribute food randomly, He worked within a system. In your life, learn to maintain order, no matter the belief; everything needs to be done orderly. The Holy Spirit doesn’t thrive in an atmosphere of chaos. If there’s disorder in your life, you can’t walk effectively with the Holy Spirit. When you violate the law of order, you disobey the will of God. The responsibility of following God’s order is weighty, but it is a necessary obedience. Nothing is done just for fun in Heaven; everything in Heaven is done to reflect God’s will, law, or order. So, in serving God, you must do everything decently and in order, for the disorganized can never get anything done. The disorderly and unskilled will chase everything simultaneously and catch nothing at the end of the day. The disobedience to God’s order brings chaos and calamity. Be obedient and stop complicating your life by trying to figure out everything. Organize your time, thoughts, work, finances, and every minute of your day. Follow the prescribed order of things; follow the Word if you want divine results. As you strive for mastery in all you do, remember to be orderly, and your results will be glorious.
O Lord, set my life in order and help me live for You in Jesus’ Name.
