The Importance Of Vision

Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

It is confirmed that vision is an important factor in any life that must be profitable and the secret of impactful living. It is the act of seeing invisible things, a picture of the preferred future. The above Scripture emphasizes the importance of having a clear vision and guidance. Vision is a guarantee of the future and critical to our possession. Vision for tomorrow gives strength and wisdom. Vision makes it clear that we are not wasting our lives. The truth is that the power of defeat fears the power of vision; what we see is stronger than what is there. Our survival is dependent on our vision. To see far is to live and inherit the blessings of God. It is written in Genesis 13:15, “For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.” This implies that what we see determines what God gives. We can feel lost and unfulfilled without a sense of purpose and direction.

In this life, having a vision, particularly a spiritual one, is crucial for our well-being. Without vision, we lack direction, and where there is no vision, there can be no future. However, God knows the importance of vision because He works with our vision of ourselves, especially those that originate from Him to us. He knows we need to have plans, goals, and desires to strive to be better people. God desires His children to be abundantly blessed and to thrive, demonstrating His goodness to the world. To fully embrace everything He has planned for us, we must be receptive to His will. Having a clear vision is essential. If we are not expecting any favor and are just satisfied with where we are, then we will live below our unique benefit. However, if we get a vision for increase, a vision for who we are as children of the Most High God and what He wants to do in our lives, we will see supernatural opportunities, favor, and increase in our lives. We may have complained about how things are not working for too long, but the time has come for us to become the agents of change. We have a role to play, beginning with having vision. We must know where we are going and how we intend to get there. Because where there is no vision or plan, we will end nowhere in life.
