The Level Ground Of Grace

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sin is a reality that touches every corner of the world. It knows no boundaries, affecting all regardless of where we live, our ethnicity, or our gender. Many find themselves burdened and defeated by sin, but there is hope. Scripture reminds us that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, which was lost when Adam and Eve chose to eat the forbidden fruit. This choice passed down a condition that leads us to personal sin and death. As our conscience matures, we become accountable for our choices, and sin emerges when we knowingly transgress. However, to experience the fullness of God’s glory, we must confront the sin problem because glory and sin cannot coexist. We can’t embrace His glory amidst iniquity. When we stray, we ultimately fall short of His glory, the radiant manifestation of His Presence and Goodness. Repentance is the pathway to entering His Presence and enjoying His Goodness. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Let us be inspired to cast off every weight of sin that drags us down and run the race set before us with perseverance!

God is all-powerful, and He has granted believers a remarkable weapon: the ability to confess, assuring us that He will forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As true sons and daughters of God, washed in the Blood of Jesus, we must embrace this incredible privilege. 1 John 1:9 assures us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Recognizing our need for grace allows us to approach God’s Throne with confidence, free from shame or fear. With humility, we can acknowledge our shortcomings and accept God’s unconditional forgiveness and love. We are forgiven according to the abundance of God’s grace, which justifies us through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross. It is a precious gift! When we invite Christ into our lives and embrace God’s offer of forgiveness and new life, we embark on a journey toward becoming who He created us to be. This transformation may take time, but we are no longer bound by brokenness and dysfunction. As children of God, let us cast aside worldly ways as we walk with our Father, reflecting His holiness and the true righteousness bestowed upon us through the gift of grace.

Beloved, embrace a life that reflects the glory of God. Stand firm against the corruption of this world and do not let sin weigh you down. Set yourself apart for God’s purpose and recognize that He desires to bless you abundantly. Confession is your pathway to enjoy His glory. Allow Him to renew your spirit so that you may receive the wonderful gifts He has prepared for you! By surrendering your life to God and believing in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for your redemption, you step into the fullness of His grace. Don’t let guilt linger; confess your sins swiftly and embrace God’s forgiveness. As a child of God, let the world see your commitment to Christ through the evident fruits of repentance in your life. If you find yourself in sin, ask from your heart: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. I have decided to follow You, no turning back. Thank You, Lord, for saving me in Jesus’ Name! When you recognize the weaknesses that the enemy tries to exploit, seek God’s grace and ask for His forgiveness. Remember, His heart does not delight in condemning you, but instead, He longs for you to experience His grace.

O Lord, show me where I’ve faltered and give me the courage to make amends. Help me to receive and extend forgiveness in Jesus’ Name.
