The Lord Is With You

2 Chronicles 15:2(KJV)

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

From our anchored Scripture, it is evident that God is with those who seek Him with all their hearts and souls. King Asa gained encouragement from the Lord when the Spirit of the Lord came upon Azariah to deliver these words after Israel had abandoned the true God for a long time. Azariah’s words make it clear that if a person is not actively seeking out God, they will not find Him, nor will He be with them, even if He can be present in their life. Bible records they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and soul, and as a result of their covenant to serve God, He gave them all round rest. We also understand that a covenant to serve God with all our hearts, soul, and body is the gateway to a world of all-around fulfillment. In other words, to find God requires absolute devotion from us. When we earnestly seek God, we know Him and His Ways. Throughout the Bible, God promises that those who seek Him will find Him. In Isaiah 55:6, the Scripture says, “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” In the book of Deuteronomy 4:29, we are admonished to seek the LORD our God, and we will find Him if we seek Him with all our hearts and souls. We are to seek the Lord with our whole hearts and soul, worship Him always for who He is, and we will also find Him in every situation.

The key to finding God is to put all our hearts and souls into finding Him. We value God and our relationship with Him more than anything else. In 1 Chronicles 28:9, “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.” On his sick bed, David gave this ever-relevant admonition to his son(Solomon) to serve God, who has chosen him with a perfect heart, and to be careful not to forsake Him because if he does, God will not hesitate to cast him away. As we stay determined and persistent, we will reach the point where we will understand more of God’s Word as we enjoy our relationship with Him, hearing His Voice more and more. No matter how many principles and formulas we learn, we will never have lasting victory in our Christian life without seeking God with all our hearts and souls. It has now become a norm where many believers seek God halfheartedly or His Hand and Blessings, forgetting that it is written in Luke 12:31 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.” Knowing that we can find God and all the other things we need when we seek Him and prioritize His righteousness is comforting.

Beloved, seek after God wholeheartedly and with simplicity of heart! As man searches for gold, silver, and other hidden treasure with diligence and finds it, likewise search for God with diligence, eagerness, and a passionate desire to find Him, for those who seek Him with all their heart find Him. Draw nigh with a true heart and call upon Him in truth and He will grant you His Presence, favor you with fresh supplies of His Grace, and everything needful for your life. Seek Him through His Word, worship, and praise daily, and you will find Him. Today, as you seek God with all your heart and soul, He will visit your situation with His Fire and give you rest in Jesus’ Name. Remember, seek Him in holiness and righteousness, and over time, and you will know Him on a deeper level as He restores your fortunes.

O Lord, help me to seek You with all my heart in Jesus’ Name.
