The Lord Will Direct Your Steps

Proverbs 16:9(KJV)
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
God has a program and plan for everyone under the sun. To know the Will of God is the highest of all wisdom. Having established the need for us to plan ahead, it is important that we commit those plans to the Hands of God. Before we were formed in our mothers’ womb, God had a plan and agenda for our lives. It is written in Proverbs 16:1 “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue is of the Lord.” There is the need to seek for God’s approval in any decision we take in our lives in order to smile at the end of the road. Therefore, no matter how good we are in strategic planning, there is still a need for us to subordinate our plans under God’s Will and allow Him to have His Way in our lives. When we commit our ways to God, He empowers us to deliver it.
Nothing empowers like locating God’s Will and walking in it. This is because when we locate ourselves in that plan, we become more than conquerors as a result of the amazing Divine forces available to us for conquest. When we are in the Will of God, we are calm, at peace and full of joy even in the midst of persecution and suffering. When we are out of His Will, we will be miserable and defeated in the midst of being celebrated by the world. Proverbs 3:5-7 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” If we trust God and live-in constant fellowship with Him and tell Him our plans, He will direct and lead us in the fulfillment of this plan. The Lord will provide Divine Guidance, as we allow Him to direct our paths, because He knows everything better than us. When we trust God to direct every part of our lives, by totally surrendering our lives to His Will and Dictate, He takes it from us, molds it, and makes it into the perfect image He had for us. Jeremiah 10:23 says “O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” Therefore, when we walk in God’s Plan for our lives, we become unstoppable, irresistible and unbeatable in the journey of life.
Beloved, trust Him completely, knowing that you cannot be misled when He leads. Know that God is the author of your life and He will never fail you when He is in control of it. As you hand over your life to Him in faith and prayers, He will turn your life and make it perfect that the world would admire. With Him, you can successfully walk this aisle; trust Him, and He would direct your path. Today, make up your mind to be sensitive to the Will of God and let Him be your Guide. Remember, God is not responsible for whatever is not committed into His Hands.
O LORD, help me not to miss Your direction for my life as I commit my plans to You in Jesus’ Name.
