The Lord Will Provide

Genesis 22:13-14(KJV)

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

God had instructed Abraham to go to the land of Moriah to sacrifice his only son of Promise there. For three days and at least two nights, they walked. Isaac, already accustomed to the rites of sacrifice, noticed something vital was missing during their journey. He asked his father where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Abraham demonstrated his faith in God’s ability to meet his needs, saying in Genesis 22:8, “…My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.” Abraham knowing Isaac was essential to the fulfillment of the Promise never lost hope that God was going to provide for the sacrifice. He strongly believed in God to make a way and provided the lamb for the sacrifice. He understood that the realm of supplies and abundance is the destiny of God’s covenant people. In Romans 4, the Bible says, “And Abraham believed that God was able to do what He had said, even to the point of raising Isaac from the dead.” Abraham consciously shifted his attention from his emotional and challenging experiences and instead directed it toward the provider, God. It is clear from the complete account that God had no intention of allowing Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. Still, it was a challenging and arduous trial that effectively tested the depth of Abraham’s devotion.

God’s ways with His people are such that it may seem as though deliverance will never come. The Faithfulness of God provides a sure anchor that remains steadfast amidst the uncertainties of life for the true believer. We may understand how a man will do a thing for us, but with God, His Provision capacity is incomprehensible; it beats man’s imagination. He is the Ocean that never dries and the Supply that never finishes. God will always provide our supply. It’s important to acknowledge that God is a realist and doesn’t get swayed by our emotional outbursts. Although we may believe that expressing our emotions will change God’s mind, He knows what’s best for us and guides us accordingly. It’s essential to follow His instructions for our own good. And in every crisis we face, we must believe that God has a good purpose for whatever He does and for whatever He allows to happen in our lives. Many believe God’s role is to supply power, peace, and provision, which He has promised. However, God has also promised tests, which allow us to discover the peace that surpasses understanding truly. Amid these challenges, we witness firsthand that God’s provision is sufficient, and we can fully experience His power. Philippians 4:19 says, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Beloved, obey the Lord promptly and completely, pass the test, and have faith in God, for all things are possible with Him. Let your faith make Him fully the Lord of your life, for without faith, it is impossible to please Him. Trust Him, for where God guides, He provides, and where He leads, He supplies all needs! Know that challenging times often bring about change. Failing to adapt can result in being stuck in a state of mediocrity. As a child of God, look away from your natural human limitations, the instability of your environment, and the inconsistency of your fellow humans. Put all your worries and cares in the Mighty Hands of our Dependable God. Do not give up as others; look up to God for your provisions. The welfare of man is, therefore, God’s top priority. God did not create man to struggle for survival. Today, risk everything you own and love upon the character of God, and you will find Him to be a God of MIRACLES, SIGNS, and WONDERS. Depend on His unfailing provision and power when facing adversities in life. You must believe that God will provide whatever is needful. The Lord can provide, and He will provide, whether by miracle or by ordinary means, whether by deliverance or suffering, whether by gain or loss. Whenever you face a challenge, it’s important to express confidence and say, “I don’t know how the Lord will provide, but I trust that He will.” Remember, the authenticity of your belief is exposed when you face the trials and tribulations of life’s challenges.

O LORD, help my unbelief and meet me at the point of my need today as I step into the overflowing blessings in Jesus’ Name.
