The Lord’s Deliverance

2 Chronicles 20:17 (KJV)

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Today’s Scripture powerfully emphasizes that God is always present with us, urging us to remain still and watch as He delivers the victories we seek. The great news is that we are not expected to achieve this through our own strength! This message reinforces God’s unwavering promise to intervene and fight for us, freeing us from the weight of burden and fear. We can trust in His divine support and find confidence in His ability to secure our triumphs. Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” He has equipped us with His supernatural power to overcome every obstacle. When Jehoshaphat asked God what they needed to do to win the battle against their enemies, God instructed them not to fight but to engage in praise warfare. While God promised to fight for them, they were still instructed to go out and face their enemies. As they obeyed, God caused the enemies to fight among themselves, and they destroyed each other, fulfilling the prophetic word from the Lord.

The call to not be afraid or discouraged is reinforced by the knowledge that the Lord will be with them, offering comfort and strength. The enemy’s roars and confrontational shouts consistently provoke a powerful response from the Holy Spirit within us. No wonder Isaiah 59:19 says, “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” God has zero tolerance for the enemy’s harassment and threats against His Children, whom He bought with the precious Blood of His Son, Jesus. With this understanding, we will realize that our God is the Greatest Ally we can have in the battle of life. The Almighty God is Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our Banner and the Lord of Hosts. Therefore, the battle is not yours but His. Always be conscious of the reality of the Lord as Jehovah-Nissi in your life. If we’re going to live in victory the way God intends, we have to learn how to face our challenges head-on. While God provides deliverance, we must still take steps in faith and confront our challenges. So many people today run from anything complicated. They run from people they don’t like, the past, their problems, and responsibility, forgetting that God is with them.

Beloved, despite these progressive attacks of the enemy, God expects you to rejoice, knowing that although the battle may be fierce, the Lord of Hosts and the Captain of our Salvation is in your midst, leading the charge against the enemy’s camp. No matter what you go through, God promises to be your God forever and ever. Even if everyone else abandons you on your journey, there is One who has promised to be with you to the very end of your life in this world and after. Make the decision today to stand strong, for God is with you. Be bold and dare to conquer, engaging the weapon of high praises to secure God’s Presence in your circumstances. As you stand in faith, you will see the salvation, the deliverance of Almighty God in every area of your life! The God of all flesh will fight your battles and give you the victory. Your dream will not be cut short because the desire of the enemy against you will never succeed. Be still and know that He is God! Face your challenges with confidence, knowing that God’s presence is your strength. Stand firm in your faith and obey God’s instructions, even when overwhelmed. Trust that He is with you and will guide you. Remember, God is bigger than your problems and has everything under control.

O Lord, thank You for Your Word. I choose to stand in faith and invite You to move mightily on my behalf in Jesus’ Name.
