The Mystery Of Godliness

1 Timothy 3:16(KJV)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

We must recognize that sin is a mystery, and its ultimate goal is to distract us from God’s Way so we can miss the best of life (2 Thessalonians 2:7). However, godliness is a more excellent mystery and will always swallow up the mystery of iniquity. Godliness may be costly, but the result is priceless. Our understanding of the mystery of godliness will allow us to walk confidently in this life through the power of the Holy Spirit in Christ. It is the foundation of every giant in the Kingdom. It is a mystery, a secret about life hidden from the secular mind and made known only to believing hearts. Although the race may be slow, it will surely end in victory. The whole package of the mystery of godliness is outlined in our anchored Scripture. The teachings of the Gospel reveal that Jesus Christ, who was originally in the form of God, chose to humble Himself by becoming a servant and taking on the likeness of humans. Even when faced with death on the cross, He remained obedient to God. Through Jesus Christ, God revealed what had been hidden, and by conquering death, He reconciled us to Him. When we give in to our inclination towards transgression, we alienate ourselves from God. But by putting our faith in the redemptive sacrifice and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can restore our relationship with Him.

It is essential to recognize that the mystery of godliness lies in the ministry of the Holy Ghost. No personal effort can set a man free from sin except through the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:13). It takes the Spirit of God to destroy the deeds of the flesh. Praying in the Holy Ghost is one of the mysteries that confer mastery upon our lives against the forces of sin (Jude 20). It is a private line between God and us, enabling us to call for help when needed. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Through the power of the Spirit, he was brought back to life after his physical death. As a result of His resurrection and ascension, we received His Power when the Holy Spirit came upon us and are now His witnesses to everyone who will believe. Many have believed in Him, and many more will believe in Him as we preach the Gospel of Christ.

Beloved, it takes godliness to grow in revelation, and it takes revelation to accomplish exploits. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is crucial to your Christian walk. My counsel is to pray daily in the Holy Ghost. Today, by the encounter of the Holy Ghost, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life will be destroyed, opening up your destiny to a colorful fulfillment in Jesus’ Name. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. Forward ever, backward never!” I pray that the hold of sin is broken and the Grace to live for God is proclaimed on you in Jesus’ Name.

O Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. To You be all the glory in Jesus’ Name.
