Proverbs 18:10(KJV)
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
It is clear from the above that the Name of the Lord is not just a Name but a strong tower of refuge. That NAME that can both electrify and wipe out the works of the devil. The Name of the Lord has the capacity to hide the children of God from the reach of any harm and has come to show that there is a power that the devil cannot contend with. Philippians 2:10 says “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” As you run into the Name of Lord, you are safe from the arrows of the wicked and from the winds of adversity.” There is no other god beside Him and there is none that can deliver out of His Hand. Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
The Almighty God is the security upon which one should base his life, only in the Name of the Lord, your safety is guaranteed. God is our Refuge. He is Mighty to deliver, Mighty to save, the Mighty Man in battle and the Lord of Host. When you serve and rely on Him, He can exert His Power to tame the raging tempests of life. No matter how mad a witch or wizard gets with you, they cannot pursue you into the Strong Tower of the Lord. That makes you safe in God’s Hand, there is nothing the devil can do. Judges 9:50-55 tells us that when Abimelech came against the city called Thebez, God’s people ran to the tower in the middle of the city and climbed to the top. While they were inside, Abimelech was still attacking and was ready to burn down the gate so as to come in and slay God’s people. Then a woman cast a stone from the top of that tower. The stone hit Abimelech’s skull and he knew that he was going to die. Then he told his armor bearer to kill him so that it will not be said a woman killed him. There will always be an Abimelech to contend with. But it is the way you position yourself that will determine whether you come out or not. Abimelech came against the people of God, but they positioned themselves in the strong tower and came out victorious.
Beloved, do not live your life carelessly in a time like this so you don’t end up as a casualty. Live right to be able to dwell inside the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You must know the Name of the Lord in time of peace before He can answer you in time of war. Today, take your position in the Strong Tower, and you shall be victorious over every challenge in life. Use the Name of the Lord to confront the battles you are facing today and you will see them crumble before you. If there is ever a time that we need to shout that Name, more than ever, before it is now. Just remember that Name in all you do!
O Lord, thank You for being my hiding place and refuge, keep me secure for the rest of my life in Jesus’ Name.
