Matthew 7:7–8 (KJV)
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Our anchored Scripture inspires us to ask, seek, and knock. Jesus presents us with three simple yet powerful instructions: Ask. Seek. Knock. In teaching His disciples, He reassures us that everyone who asks receives, those who seek find, and those who knock will have the door opened. Each command emphasizes that God desires our approach with faith, trust, and perseverance. Under this principle, we can do nothing without God, since He waits for us to ask. We are encouraged to bring our requests, questions, and concerns to Him consistently, like a child who persistently seeks what they need or desire. By doing so, we demonstrate our trust in His plan and seek His wisdom and guidance with a sincere heart. When we knock on the door of Heaven with faith, we can expect God to open doors of opportunity, blessings, and revelation in His perfect timing. Matthew 6:8 reminds us that God knows our needs before we ask, highlighting the importance of asking rather than assuming, for assumptions lead to frustration. As believers in Christ, we must call upon Him to receive, seek to find, and knock to open, as asking, seeking, and knocking embody the works of faith. He always provides when we prioritize His Kingdom and opens the door when we obey His commandments and pray. Jeremiah 33:3 assures us, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Thus, the Lord promises an answer to every genuine act of asking in prayer.
Prayer is the vital breath of Christians, allowing believers to receive all they need. It is a powerful weapon that can transform our lives. When we truly desire God and yearn to see His Kingdom manifest in ourselves and others, when we passionately seek His Will and work in this world, we can ask for what brings Him glory and deepens our relationship with Him. He is eager to grant our requests. By asking, seeking, and knocking in prayer with perseverance and faith, we open ourselves to experience the transformative power of God’s love and grace. This journey from asking to exploration leads to profound discoveries and the recovery of hidden treasures within us and around us. Through prayer, we can overcome any challenge, for God holds the keys to every spiritual, physical, financial, and emotional door. No matter how cunningly the devil tries to ensnare us, with the right key, we can find our way out. There is no situation too dark or too complex for a Kingdom Key to unlock. However, many give up just before their miracle arrives, stopping when faced with difficulty or when answers don’t come instantly. We are called to pray until our circumstances change. We don’t seek Him once and then abandon our pursuit. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” We are to seek Him continually until His promises are fulfilled, for answers arise through our asking, seeking, and knocking. If we remain persistent in our prayers, we will soon have powerful testimonies to share.
Beloved, continue to ask, seek, and knock until your situation transforms. Today, present your prayers to the Lord with faith and anticipation. Embrace the role of a diligent asker, a relentless seeker, and a bold knocker. Always approach God in faith and in the Name of Jesus, for your desires shall come to fruition. Ask in alignment with His Will, as anything contrary is simply lusting after ungodliness. There is an answer waiting for your situation. Keep asking until you discover the key. Keep knocking until the door swings open. Seek the face of the Lord consistently and make this your daily pursuit. In doing so, you engage in the most powerful activity that can change your life. Trust that God is working behind the scenes, perfecting all that concerns you. Build a relationship with God that is rooted in faith and trust, knowing He is always faithful to respond to those who truly reach out. Don’t quit or give up! Continue knocking, seeking, and asking! Press on, for God will answer! Persist in prayer until He responds, for He is a prayer-answering God. Keep asking until your joy overflows. All power in Heaven and on earth belongs to God; He is the Creator of all things seen and unseen, and He is simply waiting to hear from you. Remember, you do not have the right to know without the desire to ask, seek, and learn.
O Lord, empower me to ask, seek, and knock until I see Your promises fulfilled in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
