James 1:18 (KJV)
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
The above Scripture makes us understand that we are born of God, and His very life is in us. We are born to be the difference, alien to the ways and thought patterns of the world. God’s very life is in us, so we live in a way that honors God and reflects His goodness and love. So, as Jesus came forth of the Word, we are also given birth in the realm of the spirit to be like Him through the Word. Just as physical birth brings new life, our spiritual rebirth brings us into a new relationship with God, filled with purpose and potential. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” It is clear that we are born again through the Word of God, which serves as the fundamental catalyst for our spiritual rebirth. The Word is not just an ingredient; it is the very essence that nourishes our new life. As transformed individuals, we must passionately nourish ourselves with the incorruptible seed of God’s Word to thrive and fully embrace our faith’s potential.
As Christians, our lives should reflect the true Word because we hail from the Word of Truth. Our new life will last forever because it comes from God’s Eternal, Living Word. This happened when we received the Word of God, the Gospel of Christ’s Salvation, into our hearts to be born again. Philippians 3:20 says, “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:” Everything about our existence is fundamentally derived from a divine source, not from this earthly realm. Therefore, our words and actions must reflect our elevated status. Acknowledging our role as God’s children is crucial; when we prioritize this relationship above all else, we attain a clear and accurate perspective on life, regardless of the chaos surrounding us. This understanding empowers us to navigate our experiences with confidence and purpose. Recognizing that our identity is rooted in our heavenly citizenship can transform the way we see ourselves and our purpose. It calls us to live as ambassadors of God’s kingdom, reflecting His love, grace, and truth in our daily lives. We should rise above the talk of fear and defeat that permeates the world. Our focus should be on faith and confidence, using our words to uplift those around us and instill hope. Let’s declare victory instead of dwelling on defeat, for we are more than conquerors. The Bible reminds us that we are partakers of a divine nature. Just as Jesus is the Word made flesh, we too are empowered as offspring of the Word.
