There Is An End

Proverbs 23:18 (KJV)

For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Our anchor Scripture is emphatic that there is an end to every situation or captivity in life. It gives us confidence in knowing what we expect from God will happen. That is, everything that has a beginning equally also has an end. No journey of life continues forever since it has a start; it, without prejudice, has an end. It is imperative to know that mentality determines reality, so how we feel on the inside determines our outcome in life. Our unwavering belief that our problems, concerns, and wants will ultimately cease to exist keeps us optimistic, as our optimism can manifest positive outcomes. Our expectations powerfully shape our future alongside our prayers, faith, and confessions. What we do not expect in our hearts and lives, we cannot have in our hands. If we expect nothing, we will get nothing. It is written in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God promises to give us an expected end.

In life’s journey, the day must break no matter how dark the night is! Neither is there an endless examination or unsolvable equation. As Christians, we can have problems, but the problem must not have us because we are more significant than any problem. Job 20:4-5 says, “Don’t you realize that ever since man was first placed upon the earth, the triumph of the wicked has been short-lived, and the joy of the godless but for a moment?” No matter what the problems are, there is an end. The triumph or joy of the enemy or affliction is short-lived or temporary. That is, there is an end to everything under the sun. Whatever has a beginning has an end as well. Rest assured that no problem or difficulty can endure forever. The only One with no end is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Almighty and Great Jehovah. Pass the test by looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and never allow any public opinion or pressure from friends to take us out of God’s Presence and Will in our desperate search for solutions to our problems. Our hope is not anchored in temporary things but in God, who is the Alpha and the Omega, Who is, Who was, and Who is to come. As believers in God, we have a great hope that we eagerly anticipate. Our hope lies in Jesus, our source of eternal rest with God the Father. Proverbs 10:28 says, “The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.”

Beloved, let your hope be in the Lord because He is your help and shield, and you can rely on His promises and plans for today, tomorrow, and the future. Encourage yourself with the revelation that no matter what the condition of your life is, there is an end. To every affliction, pain, manipulation from hell, and every activity of evil, there is an end. Indeed, there is an end to poverty, sickness, or any difficulty you are experiencing. There is no endless temptation or test of life that lasts forever, and let no devil and his agents deceive you that what you are going through will never end. No matter how dark a night may appear, the day must break. I don’t know the equation the devil has confronted your life with, and I don’t know the mystery around your life, but I want to tell you that it has ended in Jesus’ Name. Let your faith be high because your expectation shall manifest. Keep believing and serve God faithfully because He alone can end every affliction in your life. Today, see the wickedness of the wicked expire in your life in Jesus’ Name. Do not enter into anything without an expectation. If you expect the best, it will be yours! Remember, the same God who brought an end to barrenness in the lives of Sarah, Rebecca, Hannah, and Elizabeth will also bring an end to your marital delay, barrenness, ill health, poverty, joblessness, and every problem the enemy is using to trouble your life in Jesus’ Name.

O Lord, end every affliction, frustration, and enemy confrontation around my life. Expedite and bring immediate fulfillment to my expectations in Jesus’ Name.
