Thy Will Be Done!

Matthew 6:10(KJV)
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
The Kingdom of God is the central Message of all Jesus came to do and teach. When we pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven,” we are praying for the rule and reign of the Kingdom of God in our lives. Jesus Christ came so that we can once again unite with those in Heaven in doing God’s Will and pursuing His Pleasure. Our prayer should reflect the desire to align ourselves with God’s goals and purposes, not to get Him to follow our plans. From “the Lord’s prayer”, one thing is very clear: only the Will of God is done in Heaven where He dwells and on earth where we dwell. Everyone and everything existing in Heaven and on earth conforms to God’s Will and Plan. God through His Son saved you so that you can join His family in Heaven in doing His Will on earth. David had this understanding, and so he said in Psalm 143:10: “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”
God created us to walk in His Blueprint for our lives, and so anything less than what God intends for you should be rejected. Living within the Divine Will means having an understanding of God’s Plan for you in every area of your life. The Will of God is always higher and greater than the will of man. Christians of today, forget it is God who has blessed them with so much, they are letting His very blessing be a barrier to following His Will right now. It is so funny the same people want God to continue to bless them with children, wealth, green cards, good marriage, the best of health, good jobs and so on. If you are a lover of self, it will be difficult for you to really please God and do His Will. No matter where you are in life, Jesus has called all of His followers to take up their Cross and follow Him. God’s Will can look different in our individual lives, but the call to embrace it is the same for each of us. As believers, we should put God and His Will first in our lives. Matthew 6:33 says “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Beloved, God’s Will for your life is supreme and to serve Him alone. He rules and reigns both in Heaven and on earth. As long as you continue in His Word, no devil can take away from you His Will on earth. Your will is at its best when you are in submission and agreement with God’s Will. Live according to God’s Will, and there’ll be no strivings. Today, open your heart to the will of God which is His Word. Stand strong in faith and see His Will in your life just as it is in Heaven! Continue to serve Him faithfully and ask Him for the needed grace to run the race. Remember, at the end of time, only those who followed God’s Will diligently on earth will be translated to continue doing so in Heaven.
O Lord, teach and grant me grace to do Your Will, enforce Your Will in my life in Jesus’ Name.
