Thy Word

The above Scripture make us to understand that God’s Word provides us with light for everyday living. As long as we live by the Word of God, we will never have to be in the dark again because the Word gives light to anyone who live by it. God’s Word is His tool to direct our paths. Without the Word of God to give light to a man’s pathway, he will stumble and fall. It is like a flaming torch, that reveals the right way to follow. The Bible which is the Word of God serves as a road map in the hands of believers. Just like the compass enables the ship to go in a right direction, so does the Word of God in the life of a believer. The shining light of the Gospel will always shine and radiate the path of the righteous who has made a solemn declaration to follow the Word of God.

The Word of God is the spiritual reservoir of light that guides us from falling into the darkness of this world. It helps us to make proper decision about issues that are capable of bringing ruins to our lives. This is the time to hook on to a higher dimension of information which is called the Word of God. This will enable us to stay on top, particularly in the days and times in which we live in. Oftentimes, the reason why people run into problems is that they don’t have enough light. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” The Scripture did not say my people are destroyed because of the devil or because of satanic activities, but because of lack of knowledge. When temptation comes, it’s the level of the Word of God in us that would determine whether we would fall inside or escape. When we don’t know, we will be cheap victims in the hands of the devil. Furthermore, it is worthy of note that when we get revelation from the Word of God or information concerning our lives, our entitlements and possibilities become clearer to us.

Beloved, increase your knowledge base to avoid stagnation in life. If you do not want to move in this world with timidity, be knowledgeable about God and His Word. Spend time on the Word. Read, study, memorize and meditate on the Word with unrelenting zeal and hunger. When you study God’s Word, He gives you guidance on what to do, where to go and how to do things. Through studying and meditating on the Word, more glory is added to your life and you keep glowing with His righteousness. You will soon discover the matchless riches and grace you will continuously enjoy. Build your faith in the Word and renew your commitment to it.
