Trust in God!

Jeremiah 17:7-8(KJV)
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
From the above scripture it is confirmed that the best thing that can happen to man is to put all his trust in God. When you trust in God, you flourish in all areas of your life. Those who trust in God will send their roots into the soil full of water and will bear fruit. When you trust in God above everyone and everything else you attract His Presence. Our attitudes need to say, God, no matter what anyone else tells me, no matter what I think myself, no matter what my own plan is or no matter the situation, in You will I trust.
Good things happen to those who trust in God. Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” Trust in the God of hope, for His Way is the perfect way, therefore make doing His Will your own will, knowing that He is at work. When you trust in Him, He will show you opportunities that people despise but which possess great potentials. His promises for your life are flawless, they will surely come to pass. He has a masterpiece in mind for you. Holding on to God’s promise is a great challenge, especially when you cannot comprehend His ways but His Way is always better than your way.
There are people who have been in Church for many years and are wondering why nothing has changed in their lives. This is because they may have put their trust in mortal men and it is a curse for a man to put his trust in another man. In Psalm 20:7, the Scripture says “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” To trust in the arm of flesh is to sign up for frustration in life. When you trust in your family connections, parentage, your good look, skills, talents and spiritual gifts rather than the ultimate Giver, you have sign up for frustration.
Beloved, to succeed with God, you must look completely away from man. A person who does not look up to God for help will continue to wallow in helplessness in life. Bible says in Psalm 34:5 “They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Trusting in God will take away shame from you and always bring you victory. Your trust in God determines your portion in life. Isaiah 12:2 says “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” He wants to be our strength and we must trust in Him and His Word above all else. Today, surrender your life completely to God for His Strength and Defense by placing your complete trust in Him only. Refuse to look to man! May we follow God with our whole heart as we trust in Him. Remember, the extent to which you involve God in your personal or family affairs shows the extent of your trust in Him.
O LORD, I surrender totally to You and ask that You fight my battles as I trust in You in Jesus’ Name.
