Jeremiah 17:7-8(KJV)
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
The above Scripture confirms that the best thing that can happen to humanity is to put all our trust in God. When we put our trust in Him above all else, we attract His divine presence, and with His presence, all things become possible. Those who trust in God are like trees that grow beside a river, and their roots extend to the deep parts of the river where there is a continuous water source to nourish them. Trusting in God allows us to flourish in every aspect of our lives. Like a tree with its roots deep in water, we can bear fruit when we trust in God. Trusting in God makes us deeply rooted, stable, and fruitful, always green with fresh life. When things in life get dry and troublesome, they are not afraid. To experience exploits in our lives, we must trust God in all circumstances. Psalm 34:5, “They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”
In our walk with God, complete reliance on Him is vital, for He has always proved trustworthy. Our attitudes need to say, God, no matter what anyone else tells us, no matter what we think of ourselves, no matter what our own plans are, or no matter the situation, in God will we trust, for good things happen to those who trust in God. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” Trust in the God of hope, for His Way is a perfect way, therefore make doing His Will our own will, knowing that He is at work. When we trust Him, He will show us opportunities that people despise but possess great potential. His promises for our lives are flawless; they will surely come to pass. He has a masterpiece in mind for us. Trusting God’s promise can be difficult, particularly when we fail to understand His ways. However, His path is always superior to our own. We can be in Church for several years, and no transformation will occur if we place our faith in mere mortals, which is a curse. To trust in the arm of flesh is to sign up for frustration in life. We sign up for frustration when we trust in our families, connections, parentage, good looks, skills, talents, and spiritual gifts rather than the ultimate Giver. In Psalm 20:7, the Scripture says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Independence from God is the foundation for destruction. What we are looking for is already supplied, but the challenge is that we have refused to trust God. Some blessings and provisions will only be on the mountaintop of trust and obedience.
Beloved, it always pays to trust God at all times. If you put your complete trust in the Lord, your expectations will be fulfilled beyond measure. Succeeding with God requires you to look to Him for all your supplies as you look entirely away from man. A person who does not look up to God for help will continue to wallow in helplessness in life. Trusting in God will remove shame from you and always bring you victory. Your trust in God determines your portion in life. He wants to be your strength; you must trust Him and His Word above all else. As long as you trust Him, you can never be stranded but have a bright and colorful future. Today, surrender your life entirely to God for His Strength and Defense by only placing your complete trust in Him. Refuse to look to man! May you follow God with your whole heart as you trust in Him. Remember, the extent to which you involve God in your personal or family affairs shows the extent of your trust in Him.
O LORD, I surrender to You and ask that You fight my battles as I trust in You in Jesus’ Name.
