Unmerited Favor

Esther 5:2-3(ESV)

And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter. And the king said to her, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you, even to the half of my kingdom.”

From our anchor Scripture, Queen Esther obtained favor in the sight of the king. She needed to approach King Ahasuerus on behalf of her people because of the death sentence placed on them by Haman. In those days, it was not customary to go to the king without invitation; going to see the king without invitation was equal to death, except he stretched out his sceptre. Queen Esther declared three days fast. After the fast, God made her to be favored. By this favor the protocol of seeing the king by invitation only was suspended and she got the king’s attention for the salvation of her people from annihilation. Queen Esther took advantage of this favor to fight a war that could otherwise have been lost if fought on the battlefield. The king was even willing to give half of his kingdom just because he wanted to favor Queen Esther.

Favor can be defined as an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. Favor is one of the mystery virtues of the Kingdom and it is available to the obedient and dedicated. Divine favor will distinguish us among many and cause us to stand out in life. Favor makes us acceptable and attractive to both those who know us and do not know us. By favor protocols are suspended, that is, we do not have to pass through what others passed through to get what we want. Psalm 84:11 says “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” The Word of God promises that no good thing will He withhold including His Favor from those who walk blamelessly before Him. Know that God is more than willing to bless His true children with favor and honor, however we must serve Him faithfully. The Lord will cause His Favor to produce answers in our lives that will wipe away our tears in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, be wise and seek God faithfully to bless and surround you with favor. Maintain personal fellowship and intimacy with God in order to enjoy His Favor and become what He created you to be on earth. Live a life that is pleasing to the One who has the heart of those meant to favor you. Today, seek His Favor and stop cutting corners because by divine favor, your failures will become successes. Ask God to shower you with favor at the place of prayer and fasting. This is your appointed time to be remembered for your favor! The favor shall single you out for special attention. There will be no more delay! With the shield of favor, you shall go places in Jesus’ Name! Step out in faith and enjoy the privileges God has prepared for you!

O Lord, I connect to Your favor that will give me unlimited and unrestricted access to my destiny in Jesus’ Name.
