Ecclesiastes 9:18(KJV)
Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
Our anchor Scripture is clear that wisdom is better than weapons of war. Wisdom determines our victory in every battle of life because it is better. It is significant to know that wisdom is responsible for victory in life. The wisdom for conquest and fulfillment of destiny makes more than a conqueror. It is the principal requirement to exist as a victorious child of God. With wisdom, we are always victorious, ruling out defeat. While we fight wars with weapons, wisdom is the key to winning them. In other words, wisdom invites the Presence of God, and where God is present, there is no defeat. Ecclesiastes 7:12 says, “For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Wisdom is a defense. We are too defended to suffer defeat when we possess the wisdom of God. That is why it is impossible for the devil and his agent to defeat the children of God.
It is true wisdom averts calamity and guarantees safety. God’s wisdom can turn what looks like a sure defeat into victory. Wisdom is critical for the termination of captivity and releases people wherever the enemy keeps them. One act of wisdom can save a nation from destruction. In 2 Samuel 20, when Sheba, son of Bikri, the troublemaker, sought refuge in the land of Abel-Meholah, it took a wise woman, by her prudent management, to satisfy Joab and save the city. By wisdom, she offered to give Joab the head of Sheba, and as soon as he received the head of Sheba, Joab’s and his men dispersed, and the city delivered. God’s wisdom can make the wise more powerful than ten rulers in a city. Luke 21:15 says, “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” As wise children of God, we are not to be pitied but to be envied by the world. The relentless efforts by Jesus’ critics to undermine Him were frustrated by His superior wisdom, which they could not resist. David loved the Lord with all his heart and strength, and because of his immense love for God, he succeeded in all the wars he fought. God gave him the wisdom and strength to achieve these victories. Goliath had all the weapons of war but lost the battle for the lack of God’s wisdom. Some have died not because of the devil’s strength but because of the gravity of their foolishness. It is because the fool is defenseless and vulnerable.
Beloved, you may fight battles with weapons, but you win with the wisdom of God. Make an unwavering commitment to do whatever it takes to get God’s wisdom for your victory. Determine to connect Divine wisdom for battle-free exploits in life and destiny. God wants you to be victorious even more than you want to be. So, seek His face and ask Him for the wisdom to make the right decision at the right time so that you can get the right results. Receiving wisdom from the Word of God is the first step toward victory. Apply the word to your daily life, and triumph is guaranteed. God will show one thing or give you one word that your enemies can’t stand. One statement out of your mouth will put to rest the adversaries of your life. Engage the Word of God to battle against every satanic uprising of the wicked targeted at your life and destiny. In the Name of Jesus, one revelation out of God’s Word is terminating that battle around your life now. This season, God will grant you wisdom and exalt you to greater heights in Jesus’ Name. Remember, without His wisdom, you cannot have complete victory.
O Lord, thank You for Your wisdom. I receive Your wisdom to win all battles of my life in Jesus’ Name.
