With God We Shall Do Valiantly

Psalms 60:12 (KJV)

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

This verse powerfully affirms God’s sovereignty and our dependence on Him for overcoming life’s challenges. It boldly encourages us to trust in His strength rather than our own. David faced the formidable nation of Aram in a fierce battle. Despite their strength, he remained resolute in his determination to secure victory. David turned to God for unwavering support, understanding that mere human strength was insufficient. With divine guidance on his side, he was certain that they would triumph over their adversary. The Psalmist recognizes that apart from God, we are truly hopeless. He emphasized the necessity of aligning our hearts with God’s will and seeking His guidance in every personal, spiritual, or relational battle. Psalms 44:5 says, “Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.” Victory over our enemies is not assured through our efforts but through God’s intervention and unwavering faithfulness. It’s not by our might but through His name and power that we overcome the challenges and adversaries we face. It calls us to rely on God confidently during our struggles.

Life often presents battles, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. We will face battles with the enemy regularly. While some may be small and easily conquered, others will be larger and more formidable, wielding significant power. However, we are not alone in those struggles, with God’s support, we will assuredly achieve victory. When we place our confidence in God, He equips us with the courage, wisdom, and endurance to overcome challenges. The Bible clearly states that the fear of God is the foundation of true wisdom. The most profound wisdom we can possess is the understanding that we can fully rely on God and turn to Him in every aspect of our lives. When we depend solely on our own abilities, we may often face setbacks. However, when we place our trust in God to lead us in actions that align with His will, we unlock His blessings and guidance, enabling us to surpass our own expectations. If God stands with us, there is no limit to the hope we can possess. With divine support on our side, we are more than capable of facing any challenge that comes our way. Together with God, we will triumph boldly, for it is through His power that we will decisively overcome our adversaries. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Beloved, pursuing God and trusting Him to win the battles in your life is the only way to ensure victory every time. Whether you’re facing external challenges or internal struggles, it can be comforting to know that you’re not fighting alone. God is your ultimate source of victory, and His power is greater than any obstacle you face. Each day of your life, you are actively engaged in a spiritual battle, and without God’s strength, guidance, protection, and grace, you face this challenge with limited power. Embrace His presence and confidently trust in His mercy to guide you through every challenge. Even when situations seem uncertain, trust that God is working behind the scenes. Approach each day with a firm understanding of your total reliance on God. Apart from Him, you face challenges and limitations. Embrace the strength that comes from needing Him every moment, knowing that you can navigate whatever comes your way with His guidance. You don’t need to shrink back in fear; instead, boldly seek God for His strength and assistance. Look to Him for help, not to man, and you will always find Him. He will always provide a path to overcome the enemy. Surrender your fears and trust in His plan, knowing He has already secured the victory in His perfect way and timing. Offer those battles to Him in prayer, asking for His wisdom, courage, and presence to guide you. Speak words of faith over your situation. Remember, the outcome is in His hands, and with Him, victory is assured, even if it doesn’t come in the way you expect.

O Lord, I rely on You for victory in every area of my life for through You I shall do valiantly in Jesus’ Name.
