Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
According to our anchored Scripture, we are God’s workmanship, an ever-changing work of art displayed in this world, all for His glory. What a fantastic promise! It’s a beautiful reminder of our purpose and the grace bestowed upon us. We are the best expression of God’s expertise in Christ Jesus. Apostle Paul urged the Christians in Ephesus to leave their old lives behind and embrace the new, saying they have been created in God’s image and are His handiwork. In other words, the quality of work that God performed in recreating us in Christ Jesus is perfect and excellent and cannot be outdone by any other. Isaiah 43:7 says, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” God created us for His Glory! Our life is the masterpiece of a loving Father who planned our existence before the foundation of the world.
As Christians, we are beautiful masterpieces in the making, designed to portray a beautiful Master in all we do. We can trust His craftsmanship and rely on His artistry because not only is He the consummate Master Artist, but He loves His works. God’s unique plan created us to be in His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, so we would be partakers of the same good works that Jesus did on earth. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we experience spiritual rebirth. Our old self is transformed, and we become new creations. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Old things have passed away, and all things have become new. The unique birth experience affects our entire lifestyle and the totality of our conduct. The old nature subject to sin, defeat, sickness, failure, and death is dead and gone! All things have become new, and all these new things are of God. In Christ Jesus, our spirit is now made alive through the power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us. Since we are made new in Christ Jesus, our lives should exhibit evidence of behavioral change and follow the will of our Heavenly Father. Our number one priority should be our relationship with God.
Beloved, God wants you to be comfortable knowing that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, created in His image, and ordained to do the good works He prepared for you in advance. God’s creative, artistic, and intelligent genius went into your making. You are His masterpiece! You are the crown of everything God created! Accept your new identity and reality in Christ, for He’s called you holy, righteous, prosperous, victorious, and more than a conqueror. Today, walk in agreement with God, with His description and perception of you. He is making you something not only functional but beautiful, for I am confident that He who began a good work in you will perfect (complete) it until the day of Christ Jesus. Agree with God’s Plan and continue to do the good works you are called for. God doesn’t call you a mistake. He calls you a masterpiece. Despite your flaws and mistakes, God recognizes your true worth. He loves you and has an amazing plan for your life. God aims to revolutionize your life through Christ Jesus. Choose today to reject the lies the enemy tells you about yourself. Remember, God is preparing you for more incredible things.
O LORD, thank You for making me Your Masterpiece. Help me to walk in all the authority and victory You have for me in Jesus’ Name.
