1 Peter 1:23(KJV)
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
From the above Scripture the Word of God is Alive, Abiding and Eternal birthed into us. That is, the seed, the Eternal Word of God, that birthed life in us is incorruptible, it cannot be destroyed. In other words, the Word of God is alive, the sole source of all truth, will never change but will always remain truthful forever. John 1:14 says “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” God’s Word was made flesh and the Word dwell among us. Jesus Christ became the bodily expression of the Word. He did not only live as the Word, He was the Word personified. So, as Jesus came forth of the Word, we also are given birth to in the realm of the spirit to be like Him through the Word. James 1:18 says “Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
It is evident that we became born again through the Word of God. That is, the Word is the ingredient that gave us the new birth. Being born of the Word, we must, therefore, continually feed on the incorruptible seed, God’s Word to truly live. Our lives should reflect the true Word, because we hail from the Word of Truth. For it is written in 1 Peter 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” The Lord Jesus also said in Luke 4:4, “…It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” Our new life will last forever because it comes from the Eternal, Living Word of God. This happened when we received the Word of God, the Gospel of Christ’s salvation, into our hearts to be born again. We became the sons of God the Father because we were born of the Word which is God, that is we are born of God. That is, as Christians we are born of God through His Word to make a difference. We are created by the Word of God and His very life is in us! No wonder the Bible says we are partakers of divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), for as Jesus is, the Word made flesh, even so we have been made an offspring of the Word. We became extraordinary when we got born again. We are not made of ordinary things; therefore, we are not limited to the things of the ordinary. We are a special kind of God’s creature, made to live the higher life in Christ Jesus. We are alien to the ways and thought patterns of this world, made different from the world. We have the DNA of God, programmed for the higher life.
Beloved, feed on the Word on a daily basis. Let the Word of God in you produce amazing fruits, so that your Heavenly Father will be glorified. Build your life on the Word and you will forever stand strong and tall, even in the midst of the harshest of storms, trials, persecutions and hardships. The Word of God will make you what God wants you to be, without you having to struggle. The Word will keep you in health, strength, and victory, and you’ll experience unprecedented progress, peace and prosperity in your life. You are God’s prized possession and He is committed to your all-round success and prosperity. Therefore, your words should reflect our Heavenly status. You are not permitted to talk about fear and defeat when the world is talking about them. Today, upgrade your life with the Word. Take charge and subdue your world and your environment, living victoriously every day through the Word.
O Lord, thank You for Your Word which has enlightened me unto higher realms of glory. Open my eyes of understanding as I study Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.
