1 Peter 2:24(KJV)
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
From our anchor Scripture we discover that the day Jesus died, He did not only pay the price for our sins; He also paid for our sicknesses. That is to say Jesus has paid the price for us on the cross of Calvary, so that we can be free from sickness and disease. As He was being beaten, the price for our divine health was being paid. So, we can’t be enslaved again by sickness. By this we are not considered sick trying to get healed; we are the ones Jesus has already healed that the devil is trying to make sick. Jesus came to earth and gave Himself as a sacrifice for sin in order to buy back for us everything that Adam lost including sickness and disease. The provision for our healing, both physically and spiritually, is made by the sufferings of Jesus Christ. Our healing was secured with each stripe of flesh that was torn from His back. Christ has triumphed over sicknesses for us so no disease or sickness is permitted to stay in our bodies. Once we receive Him as Lord of our lives, all the rights and privileges God originally intended have been restored. The will of God is for us to live sickness and disease free.
Throughout the Gospel, there are several examples where Jesus healed the people of their affliction. It is written in Luke 6:19 “Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.” Healing Power was and is still written all over Him, so touch Him and be healed. The Bible says in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus does not take anything from us rather He came to give us in excess everything we will ever need in life. Jesus demonstrated the reality of His ministry as the Great Physician. Acts 10:38 sums it up “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. As believers, let us stop nursing sickness because Jesus has paid the price for our total health package in redemption.
Beloved, you cannot have Jesus Christ and be sick. It is about time you believe the truth of God’s Word about your healing: By His stripes, you are healed. Refuse to be sick and always make bold and positive declarations concerning your good health. As a child of the Almighty God, sickness is not your portion because the bread of healing is for the children of God(Matt 15:22-29). The price has been paid, you have a right to be healed and to live in divine health. Divine health is part of your salvation package, and you are to accept nothing less. Since Jesus cannot be unbeaten, it means, you cannot be sick or afflicted anymore because He was beaten so you can live a sickness-free life. In the name of Jesus, I command every sickness, disease and infirmity to leave your body right now; from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet, let every part begin to function in the perfection to which God has created it. Today, surrender your sickness to the Great Physician in faith and you will be healed and free. Make demand by speaking the Word of God in faith that sickness and disease leave you now in the Name of Jesus. Refuse to back off that demand. Resist the devil with all you have got. Remember, you are not permitted to go through what the people in the world go through.
O Lord, I thank You for Your sacrifice for me on the Cross of Calvary and carrying away my sicknesses and diseases. I decree that I am totally free from sicknesses and diseases and I reject whatever the devil has put on me in Jesus’ Name.
