Praise the Name of the Lord!

Psalm 113:1-9(NLT)
Praise the Lord! Yes, give praise, O servants of the Lord. Praise the name of the Lord! Blessed be the name of the Lord now and forever. Everywhere—from east to west—praise the name of the Lord. For the Lord is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens. Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people! He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!
We currently live in a world where many people believe that it is their assignment in life to complain. They complain when it is cloudy and rainy, and are then upset when the sun comes out because it is too bright. They complain the music is never to their liking and sermons are always too long and boring. In the journey of life we will be faced with overwhelming and hopeless situations, however. God is present and where God is there is hope. So, instead of focusing on all that is wrong and complaining about them, the Psalmist admonishes us to look beyond the problems and observe what the Lord is doing and praise Him. For God lifts the poor from the dust, the needy from the garbage dump and sets them among princes. He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. In other words, when we focus on God’s actions our natural response will cause us to praise Him always because there is nothing He cannot do. Therefore, continually praise Him!
Praise is the celebration of the Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, infallible God, and Governor General of the universe. It is the most excellent duty we have towards God. When we praise God, we celebrate His person and the infallibility of His Word. We praise God for past, present and expected interventions. Indeed, God is fearful in praises. Praises move Him to do wonders. To praise Him is to attract Him, and to attract Him is to attract all He carries. Praising Him attract His joy, favor and blessing in overflowing dimensions. The result is a demonstration of His Power by way of mighty acts, signs and wonders in our negative situations. It is written in Psalm 40:3 “He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD.” The quality of praise we give to God shows the place that God occupies in our lives.
Beloved, praise God for His Divine attributes, interventions, victories, favors, wondrous works, goodness, mercies, gift of life and redemption from sin. Praise Him in the morning, at noon and night. Today, from the bottom of your heart praise God, and you shall enjoy God’s blessings, victory over your enemies, deliverance and preservation from all evils, divine refreshing and care, abundance, restoration and full release of divine blessings. Think about His Majesty by appreciating and giving Him the due praises and He will prove Himself to you as a God who can do all things and eternally you will behold His Majesty. Praise God in any circumstance and you will always get more than what you desire from Him. Cultivate the habit of loud and high-spirited praises to the Most High God. Remember, great blessings and breakthroughs await those who truly and wholeheartedly praise God.
O Lord, give me the grace to praise You at all times. I receive Your help to give You praise with my all in Jesus’ Name.
