He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Without controversy there is Power in the spoken Word of God, and this Power produces unspeakable wonders. The Word of God is the truth and the knowledge of truth is the guarantee of freedom, including freedom from sickness and disease. It is very clear that one key to living in Divine Health is a steady diet of the Word of God. The Word of God is the principal source for our total health and it is full of the prescriptions of the Great Physician. The living Word is the only authentic source of answers to impossible questions concerning our health. It is important to know that Jesus, the Great Physician, is the One who has authentic answers to the oppression of the devil in our lives including the spirit of infirmity. It is equally comforting to note that when a child of God is exposed to the Word of God, he or she receives spiritual cleansing.
God’s Word is the Balm in Gilead. That is, God’s healing power resides in His Word and every encounter with the healing Word sets us free from every harassment and torture of sickness and disease. When the Lord Jesus Christ was going to heal Bartimaeus, He did not touch him but only spoke the Word, and the blind man received his sight(Mark 10:52). In Matthew 8:8, Scripture says “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Note the words that he used: “He just asked Jesus to speak the Word and his servant will be healed. Praise the Lord! I am sending the Word of God to someone in need of it today, saying “Be healed in Jesus’ Name.”
My dear friend, to be connected to God’s Word is to have good health in life. On the other hand, to be disconnected from God’s Word is to be afflicted with all manner of sickness and diseases. The Lord is sending to you today the healing Word, irrespective of the number of years you have spent in sickness. Do you believe it? The healing we are talking of today is not only physical; it is also spiritual, material, financial, marital, intellectual, and all areas of your life. Whatever area you need healing today, by the Word of the Lord, be healed in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
O LORD, give me the grace to live a sick free life by the study of Your Word in Jesus’ Name.
