I Will Sing Praises to Your Name!

Psalm 9:1-3(KJV)
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that praise attracts the Presence of God, and the Presence of God is the birthplace of victory over the enemy. In other words, one of the wonders of praise is that it ushers us into the Presence of the Lord(Psalm 100:4) and we know that in the Presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy, peace and victory. Darkness cannot stay when there is light, and praise brings the brightness of God into our circumstances. It’s impossible to be in the Presence of God and remain the same because choosing to praise overcomes the enemy in every dimension. Psalm 18:3 says “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” Through praise we encounter God’s Presence where the enemy falls and perish.
Now, it is important to know that one thing that attracted God to David was his constant desire to praise Him. That is, when we cannot praise God, we cannot keep company with God. For it is written in Psalm 22:3 “Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.” Praising God makes Him seat right in the middle of our lives and judge the enemies that are surrounding us. That is, the Lord battles on our behalf when we praise Him. Praise is what we do to secure victory in any battle, by engaging in it, we transfer our battles to Him. It is a God-given weapon in our hands, with which to humiliate the devil. In 2 Chronicles 20:15-25, after three great kings formed an alliance to fight King Jehoshaphat, he, by the leading of the Spirit of God, put up a mighty orchestra for the praise of God. As the singers were praising the Lord, the Lord took over the battle and fought on behalf of king Jehoshaphat. The enemies of king Jehoshaphat helped to destroy themselves, and the task left for Jehoshaphat was to collect the treasures the enemies left behind. Many times, we as believers do not actually understand and appropriate the power of praise. When we feel like complaining, or feel that we have been mistreated, we can respond in praise to God for all things work together for our good.
Beloved, make up your mind to host God in your life by maintaining a lifestyle of praise. As you magnify and praise the Lord, He will become larger in your eyes and your faith will be strengthened in every season of your life. As you praise God, He will be seated in the center of your life and the enemy cannot dethrone you because God cannot never be overthrown! To engage in effective praise for wonders, you must ensure that you live righteously, because praise of sinners cannot be accepted by God. As you praise the good Lord may He give you the type of blessing that will cause people to fear your God in Jesus’ Name. Today, choose praise and worship as your main weapon of warfare and your life will never be the same. Praise God always, even when you are feeling down. PRAISE!!!! Remember, until your praise to God is confirmed, your safety from Him is not established.
O Lord, thank You for Your Word, give me the grace to praise You at all times in Jesus’ Name.
