Psalm 121:1-2(KJV)
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
We serve a God who can help, hinder, assist, or resist. He can raise, ruin, help, or hurt depending on what people deserve. The Help of God is superior, durable, dependable, and more reliable than the help of man or the hurt of the devil. Real help is that help can only come from God, not human beings, for a man can receive nothing except that it be given to him from Heaven. To seek help from above is to seek help from the God of Heaven. He alone can guarantee that because He alone has all the power in the universe and never sleeps nor slumbers. When we see God as our only Source and ultimate help, the disappointment of men will not worry us. We are safe in the hands of God Almighty, El Shaddai. He is the all-powerful God. Nothing is too complicated for Him. Like the saints of old, we are expected to build our confidence in the sure promises of God. In his affliction, King David said, “My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2), revealing the source of his confidence.
The Lord helps us in innumerable ways. God also promises His children never to leave or forsake them. The Bible says that even in the face of evil threats, we should not become fearful but remain confident, knowing that God will never fail us. Because of this sure promise of God, which can never fail, we shall confidently say that the Lord is our Helper, a sure and dependable help in times of trouble. God is not a man who should lie; His Promises are sure and tested! He will fulfill all His promises concerning our lives this season and beyond. If God be for us, who can be against us? Who is he that will harm us if we are followers of that which is good? Our confidence rests absolutely upon the promise of God. God will always be there for us as a reliable Father and Friend against all evil attacks. As we acknowledge His Presence in our lives, we will also enjoy His help. Whatever setbacks, hardships, or evil we encounter, our faithful God will transform these challenges to contribute toward our good. All of our days, He is our Helper and the God who sustains our lives.
Beloved, the Creator of the universe, possesses boundless power, wisdom, and understanding. With all the resources at His disposal, He can fully meet your every need and beyond. He has the whole world in His hands and is your helper. To access the help of God, you need to look absolutely to God as your Source and not on your wisdom or personal abilities. Depend on God wholly for His Help in all areas of your life. Today, the Lord wants you to look up to Him for that help you seek because looking elsewhere is an exercise in futility. Refrain from looking to men for help; they always fail or come up with complicated conditions. Never allow yourself to be intimidated by the enemy, for God is with you to strengthen and uphold you with His mighty hand. All your enemies shall scatter unto desolation, and those who wage war against you will be as nothing. With the help of God, you will conquer, knowing that all things work together for your good. As a child of God, you must put your trust in God, for only He will help you and not stumble. The God who watches and is never tired will perfect everything concerning you. He will help you, and you will not be put to shame in Jesus’ Name. Remember, no matter what trouble you face in this dark world, God is with you, shining His light into the darkness and providing everything you need for life and godliness.
O LORD, I ask for Your Help every day of my life in Jesus’ Name!
