Listen For God’s Voice and Obey!

Isaiah 30:21(KJV)
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
We understand from Scriptures that God is committed and ever ready to offer direction to as many as are willing to be led. One expression of God’s Graciousness is His Promise to guide us by His Spirit. Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” The work of the Holy Spirit is not limited to comforting us, He also guides us into all truth and abundance. Understanding His leading will land us in our high places and path in destiny. Wherever God is taking us, we can be rest assured that we are heading for a glorious destiny. He will lead us so clearly and convincingly that we can guarantee the outcome of our choice even before we embark on them. There is nothing as safe as allowing God to direct us in every area of our lives. Apostle John at the island of Patmos said, I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet. Until we are in the spirit, we are not permitted to hear anything from God, because God’s Spirit speaks to our spirits not our flesh.
God has created every one of us with great potentials, but unfortunately, some people do not realize these potentials because they refuse to follow the guidance of the Creator. There are many people experiencing losses everyday simply because they have not trusted in the guidance of the Almighty God who knows everything (Proverbs 3:5-6). It brings great pain to God when His children refuse His guidance. From the Bible, we see choices made by different people which in turn brought great calamity on them. For David, he chose to stay back while the battle was going on, Saul chose not to wait for Samuel before offering the sacrifice. Judas chose to betray the Savior, Solomon chose to marry strange women amongst others. We know the consequence that befell them. For some, the choices they made earned them an eternal damnation in hell while few others, by Grace of God, were able to correct their costly mistakes. We can easily stumble and fall, when we decide to listen to outside voices. Overwhelmed and in need of some sense of direction or standing at a crossroads unsure of where to turn? There is always the Way. In today’s society we hear so many voices with so many commands to go in so many directions, but God has put a promise inside each and every one of us and has also given us freedom to choose the direction we would like to walk in. But He says that the way of man is not in himself and he alone cannot direct his own steps. When we are faced with decisions that seek to make us go right or left we must trust what God says. May God give us hearing ears, seeing eyes and listening heart in Jesus’ Name!
Beloved, seeking directions from God shows how important you place Him in your life. Until when that phrase becomes your daily confession, you are yet to be led by our Creator. Be encouraged today, listen for His Voice, choose Him and stay the course. You may be tired, discouraged and tempted to be frustrated, but don’t give up on your future. You may think it is taking a long time, but what He has started in your life He will also finish it. Don’t follow the crowd, be led by the Spirit of God to deliver your glorious destiny. He says whenever you turn to the right or the left He is right there to direct your way, you may be tempted, fooled, or frustrated into going the wrong way, but even in that instance His Grace is sufficient for you. Today, partner with God and He will guide you in every area of your life for your own good. It’s not too late to retrace your steps in God, through His Word. Make up your mind to walk in the light of His Word, and you’ll experience His Glory in your life like you never thought possible. Let Him be your Guide. Always be thankful to God for patiently directing your life, day-by-day, step-by-step, as you trust Him and listen for His voice. Remember, God is still in the business of speaking to His children, learn how to hear from Him and obey His Voice
O Lord, help me keep my focus on You and Your Voice in this journey of life in Jesus’ Name.
