Obedience Provokes Healing

Deuteronomy 7:15 (KJV)

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

This verse embodies God’s covenantal promise to the Israelites as they prepared to enter the Promised Land, assuring them that their afflictions in Egypt, both physical and spiritual, would be left behind if they remained obedient and faithful. God promises that when we, His children, keep His commandments, statutes, and judgments, He will remove sickness from us and shield us from diseases. This highlights the profound significance of obedience and faithfulness as the pathway to receiving His divine protection. It reaffirms that God will not impose upon them the dreadful diseases they witnessed in Egypt, symbolizing their release from past hardships. While promises may be made and broken, we have a Father who keeps all His promises and a Friend who will never let us down. It is His Will for us to thrive in a life free from sickness and disease. Jeremiah 33:6 beautifully states, “Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.” Living a healthy life is among the greatest of divine blessings. The Lord declares He will bring us health and cure our ailments, unveiling an abundance of peace and truth. Knowledge of truth is essential for deliverance; it facilitates freedom. Ultimately, the truth is that God desires that we embrace a life free from sickness and disease.

In a world filled with sickness and challenges, the promise of God’s healing shines as a beacon of comfort and hope. His promises reflect His nature, and we can trust in His word, for He is a God who does not lie and always keeps His promises. The promise of protection from disease is linked to our obedience and covenant relationship with God, as His blessings, including health and well-being, flow from a reciprocal relationship where His people honor His commands. Exodus 15:26 says, “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Throughout the Scriptures, we learn that on the day Jesus died, He not only paid the price for our sins but also for our sicknesses. He bore all our afflictions on the cross, granting us the gift of divine healing and health. We are not merely sick and hoping for healing; instead, we are healed through Jesus, with the devil trying to impose sickness upon us. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.” The provision for our healing comes through the sufferings of Jesus Christ. He has triumphed over sickness for us, affirming that no affliction has the right to remain in our bodies.

Beloved, trust in God’s promises for health and safety, knowing He is a faithful Father in times of need. Find strength in your faith, believing God walks alongside you in your struggles, offering healing, protection, and justice to all who seek Him. By walking in obedience to His commands and honoring Him in all areas of your life, you position yourself to receive the blessings He has promised, including healing from sickness and disease. Actively live out your faith in obedience and submission to His will, for you can’t have Jesus Christ and be sick. It’s time to believe the truth of God’s Word about your healing: with His stripes, the gift of healing is yours. Refuse to accept sickness and make bold, positive declarations about good health, for sickness is not your portion. Divine health is part of your salvation package, so accept nothing less. Once you receive Him as Lord of your life, all the rights and privileges God originally intended you to have, including health and prosperity, will receive immediate attention, and He will prove to you that He is indeed the Great Physician. Declare with faith the Word of God against sickness and disease. Stand firm on that command, for faith-filled words change everything; they can move mountains into the sea and transform sickness into health. Remember, as long as you obey God’s commandments, you are not permitted to endure what the world experiences.

O Lord, thank You for carrying away my sicknesses and diseases. I am totally free from every affliction in Jesus’ Name.
